Valid points by kochumvk and prateek2210. Planning minimum 6 months ahead on the destination, campaigning for more number of participants and some major sponsors is the way to successfully conducting this event.

I casted my vote on the destination, the topic can discussed during local G2G and get more participation. Sponsors will follow once we spread the word. Also, once the core team is back to HQ I'm sure they'll assist with the sponsorship.

Looking forward to seeing this event become a Grand success.

I still think that it is feasible

A probable time can be after the monsoon ends (begining of winter) or next year feb/march.

Based on the recent G2G's i think around 45 riders will attend from maharashtra and southern india and approx. 15 from rest of india (rajasthan, northern india, delhi, north-east and west bengal etc.)... So we are actually looking at approx. 60 riders +/- 10.

What do u say..?

Considering the fact that it is already July and after the monsoons the south ISG2G will be held, there will be overlap and riders may not get leave from work and their wives/gfs again and again!!! So i propose we do this somewhere in central India (maharashtra?) in the latter half of February 2015. This gives us enough time for preparation and so let us finalize the dates asap.

On a side note, would guys from the south be willing to ride upto Rajasthan? Since that state has some lovely places in that time of the year.

Yep. Feb will be better for everyone. As we have half a year left over for the planning. I m from Maharashtra, Nagpur. It can be a good point to meet as it's comes centrally.

Admins, my suggestion was doing the meet in December, as it's a holiday time for most of them.

1. Destination: should be 2 day ride away from most of the places, should be outside the city to avoid local administration, groups which have held previous G2Gs should be preferred
2. Food: caterer can be employed by local xbhpians. Would be cheap and local cuisines can be enjoyed.
3. Liquor: only after the sun goes down
4. Accommodation: camp style, much better for interaction. So cold places should be avoided. Hotels will be too cramped.
5. Duration: Saturday morning arrival, monday morning we head home.

So I guess Rajasthan is out, as it will be too cold, too far for the intended purposes in Feb.

How about some forest reserve in MP or Maha? Central and the cold will be tolerable for those from the warmer climes.

6. Sponsorship: we already have events throughout the year segregating bikers in the name of brands, CCs nd whatnot. This event will be above all that. Sponsorship will ruin it imho.

7. Number of Participants: even if its in 2 digits it shouldn't be a deterrent. Thats how sturgis bike week started. A few people with the love of two wheels thats all we need including cyclists.

About your 6th point, I totally agree. Lets make this event "the baap of all biking events"... An event every other Indian manufacturer will look forward to. Even RE's Rider Mania and H-D's India Bike Week should look small, as long as pure passion and brotherhood is concerned.

regarding location, more than 50% ppl voted for Goa.

some of the ppl do not like tent/camp style accomodation. so we may have to take opinion poll, if going for tents/camping.

and ppl coming from far off places doing a 2 day ride need atleast 2 nights halt before heading back on a 2 day return trip.

itni badi G2G me 1 night is not sufficient, i guess.
