The roads in Gujarat maybe good. But only highways. Here in Vadodara, the traffic conditions are worse than the city with the worst traffic ever know to mankind...
Its like driving on the wrong side of the road is a law here and if you oppose wearing a helmet or riding three up, you are doing a heinous crime.:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::ban ghead::banghead: ... I reall get pissed of sometimes

Okay, then maybe we can have a poll with the following locations:

1. Nagpur
2. Goa
3. Visakhapatnam (or any other place on the east coast)
4. North Karnataka (we can decide a place which is scenic)

What do you people think?

I think Goa and somewherein south are better options , atleat thats what can be seen from the poll results as of now.

We have more senic routes on Goa road and on the southern outskits as well.

i completely agree to you bro but if you see the number of polls, there were only 27 people who voted out of the thousands . So maybe we should redo a poll or something which can make more people to participate and confirm.

I believe we should try to do something around independence day since people can take leaves around that time.
Infact, maybe have something like all riders converging on 15th

Lets try and break it down.

The prospective riders:: The most enthusiastic riders tend to be from Maharashtra/Karnataka and they do keep on having these G2Gs. While we have some pockets in GJ/Raj/Shillong/Kolkata/Delhi/Chandigarh who are very enthusiastic about rides.

Features of a place
1. Reasonably priced hotels
2. Scenic (hills/oceans)
3. Approachable from all the above mentioned pockets in 2/2.5 days of riding.
4. Safe -- Meaning no administration chik chik and no problems with people riding in groups or possibly camping.

Prospective places fitting these criteria (in my opinion) -
1. Goa

Pros:: Its Goa ! Enough said.
Cons:: Will be very far for East guys.

2. Konkan/Maharashtra hills and beaches
Pros:: Greeeenn! Nearby beaches too for further riding. Camping sites
Cons:: Some sort of fatigue for KL/MH riders as far as destination is concerned. Also, I believe the KL/MH riders might be the most prolific long distance tourers.
East guys would require 2 days of hard riding.

3. Rajasthan
Pros: Its lovely in the monsoons. Barely any tourists. Lots of accomodation. Delhi guys might actually turn up :P
Cons: Overdone destination for most.

4. Nagpur
Pros: Centrally located / Oranges :P
Cons: Not a very exciting place to go to. Hotel availability and large groups moving about - wonder how comfortable the administration will be.

5. Vishakapatnam
Pros: Araku valley/Beaches/Off beat for most people/ One destination where East guys can also reach easily
Cons: Delhi guys will have to do 2 days of hard riding. Hotels availability - I am not sure.

I am not even sure polls are the best way to do this. What if 50 non-riders/casual riders end up voting for a mundane place like Noida! Whats the point of this kind of poll. Some people, forgetting the core proposition of the ride of getting all India together, could simply vote for their nearest place !!

My thought: Lets have a few representatives of different areas skype/chat together over prospective places and arrive at a consensus.

We can do one thing. Start a rally from the southern and northern parts of India simultaneously, the riders who are living in the central states, the states through which the rally will be passing will join them and then eventually we can end the rally at some exotic destination...

And those people having to cover large distances for the G2G will really be lucky. They would get a reason to ride more

And about the finances, we can charge a nominal entry fee for the xBhpians and for all the non-xBhpians who will surely give a visit to our G2G will be charged a higher entry fee.

^^ XBHP AIG2G means a get together of xbhp members only.

inviting non-xbhp members means it will become a public event, and a public event on the lines of IBW or ISF means herculean effort from organizers, a dedicated organizing team, a lot of sponsors, brand promotion etc. it needs huge efforts in terms of logistics, organization , planning & execution. and we are not planning to do that. it will be a chaos.


what we are planning is a get together of like minded xbhp riders from all over the country and this is more like an informal event, where you chat and have fun, roam around, without any fixed agenda or schedule.

Ok... But in such a case will we get a sponsorship other than probably Castrol? Or else all of us xBhpians can contribute a certain amount just like in our childhood days "tu tera mein mera" and make this happen
