That's indeed a strong statement.Most of the rumours, true or fake has this common statement.I sincerely hope TVS guys know what they are talking coz faster than P220 would make the 180 faster than even the R15 which would make it the fastest sprinting bike in India!!

Faster than 220 (Presumabily in a Straight Line of course)..??

For that to happen, the RTR 180 (not calling it Menace anymore) at 180 cc and around 18 Ps, the bike have to be very light.. probably aound 125-130 kgs.. to match (or exceed) the Power to Weight Ratio of the P220. Possible..??

Hmm... wonder what could be the Top Speed of the RTR 180..??

^^ c',mon man, its a new bike. We bike enthusiastics are always, at least intriguied if not interested with new launches!
Also its a bike thats more focussed to power, performance hence we will be obviously interested in knowing what all its got ? in terms of new tech and all that.

Personally I'm very happy that there is a CC increase in the flagship model of every manufacturer !!
I mean imagine a day when the flagship of every company is a 250 cc, preferably a multi cylinder !!! Will give us so much more choice ...

So RTR 180 is definitely a step in the right direction, I believe.
Also the claim that its gonna be the fastest indian bike. Now thats becoming favoured advert pitch of manufacturers now a days !! First R15 and now RTR. I'm sure Bajaj will also use it once the Ninja is released !!

Because TVS bikes always have lived up to the hypes/claims!!

Yeah , you are absolutely right!! But we have to wait and watch how far this unofficial claim by TVS actually fares.Till then, let's be happy with the speculation!!

Im sure one can commute on the RTR 180. Heck ! There are xBhpians who 'commute' on an R1 !
