My NOC was issued more than a year agoand i guess it's validation's expired. So how do i renew it? Is there something i can do without going back to my hometown? Will the cost of renewing will be same as the time of issuing?

Please help me guys...by the way i'm in Hyderabad..if someone can get me a broker no. who can help me with my issues..

I got a small query.
Currently I am using my brothers Unicorn which is registered with Karnataka RTA in AndhraPradesh.
I got NOC from Karnataka but I didn't register the vehicle with AndhraPradesh RTA.

what happens if I encounter with Police? The vehicle has got all the papers including NOC except the Registration with AP RTA.
what kind of fines do I have to pay?

Nothing. You have to pay absalutely nothing. Just make sure that you got all the papers and Noc and you can carry on with the KA registration. Validity of Noc is 1 year after that you only have to renew it....you dont have to get a new Ap registered number at all.

Noc validity is one year. If you have contacts in Hyd police dept, you will get an noc in no time

Having suggested above.. I just want to suggest you guys to find out about the rules of that respective state. Things might look like bed of roses as long as you negate the police on your way. But, it would be different scenerio when you get caught, even if there is a random police beat check. Might have to face the consequences even if you have not done any fault.

My sincere advise is find out about the State rules and follow to avoid any embarrassing situation.

Its been 8 months since I got the bike from my brother with NOC.
I am not sure if I'll stay in AP or not after 1 year. so I am not in a mood to register the vehicle with AP. Also AP govt is in financial crisis and they increased the lifetax and made compulsory to take some savings bonds from postoffices.

So if police caught me what would be my offence and what amount do I have to pay them?

any vehicle can be taken to any state for 1 year max without paying any taxes if you hav paid the road tax while purchasing of the bike (correct me if I am wrong) well I dont think the police will catch you as I hav found the hyderabad police to be lazy & careless.
Come on you can see every biker in hyderabad breaking a rule like not wearing helmet or doing triples.

the difference being that i moved to chennai recently and im not going to stay here for a very long time

and regarding the traffic police in hyd, i would say, if you see them just passby confidently as if you dont care. mostly they stop bikers who look frightened

That depends from state to state I guess.

Correct me if I'm wrong it is 6 months validity if NOC is taken TN registered vehicles.

NOC that you got would come stipulated time frame within which you have an option either to return to the state where vehicle got registered or to re-register in the present state.

I was going through a related thread
someone suggested to go to the rta and take an noc from there and drop off the registration and go for a new registration at the new location
is this necessary

Issue Of no Objection Certificate An application for Issue of No Objection Certificate shall be made in Form 28 (in triplicate) to the Registration Authority by which the Vehicle was previously Registered / Transferred. by affixing Rs.3/- Non-Judicial Court Fee Stamp.
