I just happened to read it in the blog that HIDs totally blind out people & are illegal.
Also I was under impression that stock high beam is enough for all conditions.

Personally, even I like that bluish colour light than yellowish.
I was just being right ethically.
Now necessity for this upgrade is clear.

Guys, he has the option of turning off his high beam when needed! When such situations arises that there are many vehicles on the opposite lane, he can simple use his low beam. (which is housed in a projector, just to minimize glare!)

well, you are not alone with your thought.... I'm here to second you with that.

3rd point, A blinded has all the possibilites of driving over you. be it a car or truck. Infact a high beam from a simple 35w lamp is enough to do the job of blinding.

Any how, its my very personal opinion, I feel like the bang those headlamps of opposite vehicle coming with high beam on and especially projectors.

I agree Surendra, but:
Some Pointers:

(1) There's not a huge difference between 4300K and 6000K tempreature in terms of light output. Yes, 4300K is better, but still 6000K will still be 200% better than a Halogen.

(2) 6000K is the most common and cheapest colour temperature you will get in the market today, that also helps in when you are going to sell of your HID.

(3) You cannot blind the pedestrian crossing the road, infact you will do him/her a favour by increasing your visibility and decreasing his/her chances of getting hit by you. But, yes you may blind the oncoming truckwalas, which is sometime desirable.

(4) Stock P220 light are best in class, but nothing on open highways. Most of our roads don't even have a divider, but for people like us who stay in cities like Bangalore, where all escapes are super wide roads, this mod will definitely help. On stock 220 lights, on Bangalore-Chennai route, I can hardly maintain 80Kmph, without taking risks, with this mod, I can ride as good as day. (Day time you can easily maintain 120Kmph!)

(5) And after all you can adjust your high beam, so as to aim towards the road. Cars have two bulbs, does it blind us?

Also, other aspect is HIDs above 6000K are illegal in India (most of the countries too).
They simply blind out people be it a driver from opposite lane or pedestrian who is walking on/crossing the road.
So I would say, though this mod is great but may not be advisable considering poor pedestrians & drivers from opposite lane.
Stock P220 headlights do their job exceptionally well.
Remember many of major roads in our country are still without dividers.
Spare drivers who are coming in opposite directions as driving in night is real pain.

hmm...i asked the samething to the shopkeeper, all he had to say was,'sir china ka maal hai, chala toh chand tak nahi toh shaam tak' ...he also told me that his mechanic wil fit it in front of me, and was not ready to take the risk of the light not working when i told him that i am taking it to my mechanic
