which projectors use low beam : laura is all i know of and i guess sonata ones also.

which projectors use high beam ? : ??

now if i buy a low beam projector and remove the block for the high beam , would i get the high beam also ?
All the cars having projectors use it for low beams only, some are bi-xenon projectors, and some have separate projectors for hi/low beams.

But mostly Projectors are used only for low beams. Even the Audi A6 uses Projectors for low beam only.

Now a days I am seeing atleast 1 bike daily with HIDs in Pune, and the glare is bad. Also, somehow the light spread ahead is not great either, like the one seen in projector fitted cars. That's why I started to plan fitting a projector in the headlight beam.

In Pune, some guys are fitting HIDs in bike for 3200, without any warranty. 3200 for no warranty kit seems too costly, isn't it?

There's has been lot of talk on Projectors. I would like to add that Projectors also have drawbacks, especially in case aftermarket chineese one.

    (1) Projectors Lens quality can actually reduce the intensity of light. Thicker lenses makes things worse. Even good projectors lenses can turn to be worse if it does not matches the arc of the bulb.

    (2) There Projectors known as BI-Xenon Projectors, where usually as solenoid which moves the shutter to make use of hi/low beams.

    (3) Projector Lenses, may change colour temperature, usually reducing. In other words a light source may look more yellowish when put in projectors.

It's important to take in consideration that Projectors, were invented with the first priority of reducing the glare for oncoming traffic.

I am planning to get projectors soon .( Skoda/ Sonata )

1:Now is it necessary that i have to go for HIDs to use the projector or will they work fine with the normal bulb.

2:also. normal bulbs already have both filaments and low projectors have the high beam blocked.
Now if i remove the block can i have high and low beam on the same projector ?
    (1) Projectors works fine with normal bulbs. Till 2 years back, you could see just few cars with HID, but most of the Skodas even then were Projectors.

    (2) Usually projectors have single beam bulbs. There' are separate lenses for different beams, 220 has low projectors and high ellipsoidal.

But Avin AFAIK you just cannot have both beams in one projector. You gotta have 2 projectors, one with the blockage for the low beam and one without the blockage for the high beam.

Also any ideas for fitting 2 projectors inside the stock headlamp of a UGIII? Mount them side by side or one over the other [ a la 220] ??
I think mounting them side by side like R15 is a better option, just my opinion.

Rahul that's agreat job dude. The projector aids the hid quite well. I'm using HID on my FZ too, both the beams are HID, unlike the regular kits that you get. The bulb is one unit only, except that the filament moves in & out while using the High beam. I paid about Rs.4500/= for the entire kit.

No issues mate, thanks for the clarification.
Personally, even I like that bluish colour light than yellowish.
I was just being right ethically.
Now necessity for this upgrade is clear.
And yeah, a 6000K HID will make the road signs glow much better than a 4300K one. Your points are valid..depending on situations.

Any how, its my very personal opinion, I feel like the bang those headlamps of opposite vehicle coming with high beam on and especially projectors.

Agreed, but what your high beam will force the opposite traffic to lower their beams, when you need them to and secondly It's not a problem on roads like GQ.
