hi there well ajaybiz you ended up with the new cat con exhaust which is useless.the old one from the dealer is worth only 1800.
well the compression ratio is known by the following steps...

compression ratio= (volume before compression)/(volume after compression)

FOR CBZ----

comp. ratio=8.5/1
volume before comp.=156.8cc

now the equatio is.....

8.5/1=156.8/(vol. before comp)
therefore volume before comp.=18.5cc


since i haven't changed the cylinder head this 18.5 cc is still constant...


therefore for my new engine with zma cylinder

comp. ratio=223/18.5=12.05


so there i must correct myself that the compression ratio is not 12.5 but its 12.05...

but still its the highest for any petrol engined vehicle in india...
i couldn't get any dyanamometer in india otherwise i would have tested the torque and bhp...

i could have done anything with that much money you're rite "rossi" but then would i have felt the sence of achievement that i am feeling right now.
also this is a testing bed for my mechanical skills.
and one more priceless thing....

the way my parents faces lit up today by seeing so much apriciation for my is priceless.....i'll throw away a million maybachs for that moment


i'm studying mech engg right now...
i'll do specialization in engine tech after that.
and i will open a mod shop...
which will cater to both bikes and cars...in every form

and yes one more thing happened today...
my dad was so happy that he's said yes for vivek soni's vmax....

so now "wannabe rossi" you were talking bout some comet......were did you see it fall....lol.....vmax......puny little comet....what say now...hahaha...this is the best day of my life...my work appriciated....my parents happy and now i'm happy...yaaaahooooo

awesome navpreet! so did u also chng the cdi?

no i didn't change the cdi coz that would have involved the changing of the whole wiring of the bike because they are very different...it was very complicated and would have gone wrong with even the tiniest of mistakes...

How did u increase the compression ratio (plz tell in detail). Do u recommend me to install zma carb and K&N filter.

nothing man a head of particular bike has a fixed combustion area according to the volume of the block piston,as he explained he has the same head of the cbz,only increased the volume of the engine to 223cc which inturn has increased the compression.
