12.5:1 compression ratio wont work for very long even on 93octane petrol, dude are you hearing detonation noise after warming up the engine? Also since you havent touched the timing even after going to high on compression, you could face a very serious detonation(preignition) problem. I suggest you get a programmable CDI Kit from RDDreams to precisely configure the timing, because the timing HAS to be retarded if you increase compression ratio.

you are right man i am already facing problems of overheating.i'm looking for a cdi but the problem is the wiring,i'm not good at it right now.presently i'm studying the timing stuff from different books.once the basic concept gets into my head then everything will be easy...

anyone game to explain me the timing stuff in detail.

btw what and where is rddreams....
      cheers

Dudedont despair about timing, you see if you have increased compression, the increase in compression pressure will result in a faster flame propogation speed and that in turn will hit the piston before TDC. Now that will result in detonation and detonation results in extremeheat, which again increases compression pressure and gets worse. To solve this you have to set the timing properly, i.e. get a programmable ignition kit which will allow you to set timing at every 500 RPM increment.
For example you could set timing as:
5 degrees before TDC at 1000rpm
15 degrees before TDC at 1500rpm
15 degrees before TDC at 2000rpm
20 degrees before TDC at 2500rpm
          .........
          .........
          and so on.

(These timing figures are purely an example and not the tru timing figures for the bike)

The timing CANNOT be adjusted on the factory unit which comes along with the CBZ. Thats why you need to have a programmable ignition system. A member named arpandiv is using this system on the P150 and apparently p180s are finding it diffcult to smoke his bike.
Make no mistake the pro cdi kit wont boost your performance by itself, it is just a kit which you need to make your performance mods(high compression head, big bore) work perfectly(without overheating, detonation).

well the front tyre is of IRC. its 100/90-18

the tire is quite cheap-800 bucks.equal to indian 100/90 tires.but the grip is very good.it is soft rubber.

                  cheers

the tank is made by me by cutting the cbz's tank.you can do a similar thing.but be sure to get it done by an expert.

hey navpreet how long you been running this mod? does the bottom end take the increased torque and power. I'm guessing there is gonna be quite a lot more strain on the other parts.
one really clever mo0d man. you seem to be living the dream that i sought fo my self.... xcept that i went the lazy commerce way when it should have been engineering all along .

Rock on dude. i hope to see your mod shop in the future. and stay close to bikes dude the four wheeled way is much eaiser and not as pure! you are bringing the right knd of biking to india!!!
