Good job on converting a CBZ to a Zma engined bike with more grunt. There are just one thing bugging me about the engine, since you've put a CBZ head which has a smaller bore diameter than the ZMA how did you manage to get the squish band ring diameter = bore diameter? I mean to ask you whether you machined the head or simply bolted it on? Also Is the piston crown of ZMA a flat top or dome shaped?

                Hi Navpreet,
Turned to this topic after a long while but I was simply amused & impressed by your creation.
This has really made me have sleepless nights, I simply wanted to do the same on my CBZ but only with the Cylinder of ZMA.
Nothing else other then the cyclinder..rest wanna keep everything the same.
U have ignited the fire which wont let me settle me down easily.
God bless you with all that you have got & once again Happy goin with the VmaxXER too.
Hope to see you in person very soon. Happy Moddin & ur actually are using ur Mech engg. studies to real worth since I might send my bro to u for tutions
Happy B'day to u in Advance.

rohit you said right...if you look at a cbz's head you will find no place to machine it.its just too cramped.so the fact that the zma cylinder is flat at the top has worked for me.i simply bolted on the cylinder.its just a couple of mm's difference.though i am thinking of machining it some how.i contacted performance auto noida.lets see....

lovemax...well i know this kind of mod will have you drooling.well if you want just the engine mod,its very simple.just buy the following things...

                    zma cylinder
                    piston
                    crankshaft assembly
2 longer engine studs.(there are 2 short and 2 long ones in the cbz.now you'll have to use 4 long ones)
                    new packing
                    zma timing chain.

and now a crucial part.you wont get it.
there is a gear which is fitted on the crankshaft.its called the GBD gear.it drives the clutch assembly.

now the thing is that the cbz crankshaft has a toothed fitting for this where as the zma crankshaft has a keylock type.

both cbz and zma GBD gears have different number of outer teeth so you cannot use the zma gear in your cbz.ok.

now what you do is buy or borrow a zma GBD gear from the spares shop.and take your cbz GBD gear to a machining shop.ask the guy to machine the cbz GBD gear from inside so that it is exactly same as the zma GBD gear.he will have to use a diamond cutter for this.

                    ok thats it.finished.

now one more thing you would have noticed that i have used a smaller rear sprocket.thats to increase the top speed.ok

and yes use the old cbz exhaust pipe.it'll cost you only 1800 bucks.its very good.

you will have to change the main jet of your carb.maybe 95 or so.i just bought a new eliminator carb.very costly...10000 bucks.

thats it you got a p180dtsi beater...
                    cheers

                            all the best dude.

uve got some brains to do all this stuff.
mod shop sounds interesting maybe u want to work in some of the mnc's and then set a performance shop similar to one guy who has set a looks shop india "DC" who used to work for ford and toyota.

maybe u want to show the world the indian brain by tuning the engines.
                            rock on dude.

12.5:1 compression ratio wont work for very long even on 93octane petrol, dude are you hearing detonation noise after warming up the engine? Also since you havent touched the timing even after going to high on compression, you could face a very serious detonation(preignition) problem. I suggest you get a programmable CDI Kit from RDDreams to precisely configure the timing, because the timing HAS to be retarded if you increase compression ratio.
