Zapper Q
Hey guys did anybody consider MRF zapper Q for zma or zmr. Because its a direct fit for karizma 110/90-18
And I think there is no need to modify the chain case also. Whats say?
@manan
Dude I think your bike might have been used harshly during that period since at that time ZMR was new for all of them. They might have done all the experiments at your ZMR( like checking the firing of new bike by revving up engine, checking pickup the new bike has, test ride etc). possible right? if also they did .....their is no relation of accident to it
by the way my zmr was not the 1st zmr
i guess it was 4th or 5th
as 1st zmr was given to mtv [black ]
2nd to mohsin [white ]
3rd to unknown [red]
4th ti me i guess

Yash,
In fact I raised this issue few posts earlier. In fact I wanted to know the Stock MRF & Other MRF Tyres.
I am also planning to change. But in Kolkata
having MICHELIN is difficult though somehow will get that through my friend working in CEAT. Fitting that is probably a tough job with the available mechanics here. Good machining is important.
In fact the Dealer is claiming there would be WARRANTY void for this.
Friends please let us know that will changing to ZAPPER Q
will improve the ride comfort?

Probably this image will give an idea where the cutting needs to be done.
Friends I may be wrong since I have not done that but MOHSIN, MANAN, VISHAL and others can confirm that.
Sorry for PHOTO quality. Taken from Nokia-6303 for a WHITE ZMR spotted in the showroom yesterday.Last edited by satyajitrc; 04-25-2010, 05:14 PM.34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

hey don't leave me out !!Originally posted by ahnikhil View PostWell!! i guess bangloreans are into white !! ..by looking at the list
Got a call from Sai motors , They told me that i can pick up a black one .. i declined the offer .. I guess i will be going with white one

Well, one more thing .. Can you guys share your experience on changing the rear tyre's ??
I "had" a Karizma-R Black ( Which was stolen in january ) , had changed the rear tyre's to pirelli SD 110/90 ( Stock - MRF 100/90) .. I felt No change in mileage nor acceleration
..
So this time I intend to change my rear tyre's to 130/90 or 140/90 ....
Only for looks
.. So will there be any problem of any sort ??

Hello guys ... completed 901 Kms till date. First service done ... now
1. The bike is butter smooth
2. RVM's are not vibrating anymore if I ride at 4000 rpm
3. I am getting a mileage of ~52 Km/litre (I had never exceeded 4000 rpm on my bike & used only normal unleaded petrol ) . Very happy in this front.
4. Had to visit the SVC twice because they screwed up the gears. I was facing issues with the gears even after the first service. Now, after paying SVC a visit for the second time a new problem has cropped up. I am struggling to switch the gear back to Neutral from the top gear. I suspect whether these SVC mechanics of Millennium Motors, Bangalore are qualified enough to service my bike properly.
I had a bad experience today when I was riding my bike through one of the peripheral road's of the city. There was a thunder storm approaching during the evening time because of which there were strong crosswinds. To my horror my bike swayed towards the right hand side ie, to the next lane! At that point I was riding at 48 Km/hr, I immediately reduced the speed but then also I didn't find the bike to be stable enough. Finally I decided to stop my bike and wait for things to calm down a bit. I was surprised to find HH splendors & Bajaj platina's zip past me at that point of time.
I suspect this drifting issue must had occurred because of the full fairing. I did a google and found that its a common issue with bikes having full fairing.
So guys a word of caution - Be careful when there is a crosswind. Remember ... "Safety First"
Did any one of you experience this drifting issue previously on your ZMR ?

[shown in the pic & this pic is only for representation - has stock mrf tyre ]
which is used to protect engine from the dirt of tyre
would their be any problem in future ?
but mohsin's white zmr doesn't has this problem
what should i do ?
would re-installing the tyre would solve my issue [any-other way to solve this problem without removing tyre ] ?
