air lock issue???
today in evening it rained heavily in delhi, after an hour of rain subsided i went to start my bike to visit market, but the bike didnt start. after 4-5 attempts i opened the fuel cap and then it started in second attempt.
this happens with my zma-r also.........we are familiar with air lock problem of zma-r..
but is it in ZMR also/???/...........and im afraid that i used self for around 6 times with good long cranks , i hope it didnt hurted the battery and the self either.

On 27th April Tuesday, at around 12:30 in the noon, in a tensed mood, after giving a last read of the boring and confusing syllabus topics, just when I was about to enter the examination hall for my exam, I got a call on my cell. Answered it to hear these angelic words: "Sir, this is from HH showroom. you've booked a blue ZMR . We have a white one, and not any blue one as we received 2 whites and 1 black in this month's lot. Are you interested in a white one?"
Ofcourse !!!
Sudden change of concentration junked everything I prepared for the exam the entire last night resulting in me handing over the answer script well before the finish time, and lo.. I was my on way home with only three wonderful syllables in my mind, ZED, EM and AR.
5:30 was the time they asked me to be there for the delivery.
Completed some formalities within few 'long' minutes, then rushed downstairs for seeing my bike.
There were 2 whites and 1 black standing. One white was already taken and awaiting for delivery and mine was the other one.
Visually inspected it and found a small scratch on the front mudguard and a half mm diameter round scratch(or rather a removed paint) on the left edge of the dome.
On asking, the delivery incharged had these thorny words -
"Sir, utna toh Delhi se laane lejaane me hotha hi hai. ZMR ka pehle hi bahot shortage hai." (These petty things happen, the bike had been transported from all the way from Delhi , and the demand of this bike is huge too."
I controlled my anger as I didn't want to make my mood bad.
Now the extra fittings and all started, including the loose 'grade C' free seat cover which I'll throw away tomorrow replacing with a 'well finished' leather one.
When the silencer cover was screwed to the silencer I noticed that one side of the cover was touching the silencer. I asked him to replace it with the other zmr standing there. After replacing, the cover wasn't touching as the previous one did, but it was very near to touch it. The SVC guy told me that, this is what the company has provided, and there's nothing wrong in it.
Every thing was fitted including the battery. And then the sweet tone of the engine coming to life was heard as soon as the ignition switch was pressed.
Took the delivery and by the time I finished the remaing paper work and reached home it was 9:30 pm.

here one from me ... This was a small trek did by my ZMR .... just was testing the grip of tires and the power. And to my surprise, it didn't disappoint me. just took a risk of climbing a small mountain ... if it could have stopped in between, god know how i could have handled it ???? But yes it did it ... I was on top of the world ... There was no road to climb just attempted it on the cross country way ...Dream the impossible because dreams do come true !

Hey - any idea what all papers one needs to carry with the bike? I see traffic policeman lurking every nook and corner trying to catch hold of some fish. Do I need a PUC for my new bike?Comment

Hey manan why do you carry so many things with u?
Here in mumbai, let there be a single police man standing at signal or group of them( NAKA BANDI) they only ask for following things:
Licence, insurance paper, PUC thats it.
At the max they will ask for RC book(card). But RC also not required IMO. Believe me. My uncle is a policeman.Comment

in some cases they ask PUC.................

What is the best way to clean your zmr? (for day to day basis, without washing).
A soft dry cloth is handy, but it does not remove certain stains.
Usage of damp cloth kills away the shine of the paint until I wash it again. Any suggestions??
Also, is liquid polish good for the paint? I got this pidilite wax polish.
Pidilite Industries Heard that polish reduces the shine of the paint after say 2-3 years. Is it true ?
