  • the bike's been brilliant albeit one small problem...

the idling's high... since this is a fuel injected engine isn't this controlled by the ECU ??

why is the idling so high ?? any insight into it would be highly appreciated..

      • Guys just got my WHITE ANGEL

        Has few issues

        1. Noticeable scratch on front fairing.
        2. Wiser has a crack on it.
        3. Hero Honda sticker has peeled off.

Have taken in writing from dealer that all the issues will be sorted out.

        Pathetic service, worst dealer.

            YASH,
Hard luck man but you beat me as you got it delivered (posted) early.

Booked and got it delivered WHITE angel...
Everything in a single day XBHPians. But can be put properly on Road around WEDNESDAY.
My BIKE was manufactured on 06-May-2010 and in my home on 16-May-2010. Can you guys belive this?

Reached the Showroom around 9:45 AM with my wife. They were half opened and got it delivered around 2:00 PM.
Returned home @ 3:30 PM. Very tired due to the beating SUN.

It was hectic as there were plans for BOOKING only but took a chance. Searched nearby ATMs. Used both our ATM Cards and Credit Card.

Do not worry guys. Will come up with Ride Report and pictures too.

Cleaned my bike with shampoo and water neatly to find the scratches.
There are few but negligible. Nothing to rant about. Since this is INDIA.

But there was Oil accumulated on lower white portion near left leg peg.
Need to find out and watch closely.

At showroom the reading was 2kms and reached home after driving 15kms without Helmet in this SUN & a SAFETY issue too.
Besides only ONE litre petrol was given by them. Nearest good Petrol pump was after driving 11kms more.
Could not enjoy the brief ride for the above mentioned reasons.
Filled up 15.5 litres @ the station.

However it is a pleasure to drive. Difficult to ride below 60kmph, I admit this.
It is deadly tempting and awesome to drive. Mid range is fantastic.
I felt the breaking was absolutely fantastic around 55kmph.

            More to come....

so that m45 doesn't touch the chain guard
Hi guys, i think im missing something. The M45 is of size 4.00 and that should come up to 101.6mm. Since its about the same size as the stock, why should you cut the chain guard.

                      • Hi guys, a small question ... what is the top speed that you touched on your ZMR till date ?

                        I had touched 106 Km/hr sometime back.

                              Dear X-BHPians,

At the outset I thank you all for your cooperation and humble guidance in this forum.
It is very difficult to credit the individuals but still I must mention the knowledge shared by some notable members.

Obviously MOHSIN, MANAN (Learned a lot about ZMR due to his accident), MEHUL, VISHAL, NEO88, VERYHIPHOP, GAUTAMSANKAR, NITHINRUDRARAJU, ADABASS, FAST FURIOUS, NOEL (Oil Cooling Funda), SAMINDER (Colour Change of ZMR), ANMOL, KAYMANTIS, KAEMAKAZI, ANANTH (Travelogues), YASH, Kolkata BHPians & all have been very helpful.
May be unknowingly I have missed some names but honestly no OFFENCE meant.

Last but not the least my heartfelt thanks to my FAMILY who encouraged me in doing my RESEARCH. Not to forget my office Colleagues and Team Members.

Probably I could not contribute much as my knowledge is quite limited compared to all PRO-Bikers in the Forum.
Actually I had been keenly following TEAM BHP Forum from JAN-2009 since we required a Family Car.
But definitely X-BHP was not in the back seat with some occasional visits from MAY-2009.

The ironical part is that I never was a member in any of the mentioned Forums.
Finally I decided to go for a BIKE after the Family Car was done.

                              PRELUDE

My previous BIKE was a HH CBZ from Apr-2000 to Jan-2005.
Finally around Aug-2009 I decided to go for a City Commuter with occasional Touring purpose. Hence the choice narrowed down to only a countable few Bikes.
Since I had a CBZ hangover, I always looked for a Bike of more than 160 CC with Dual Discs, Chain Cover etc.
But it was a tough call considering my criteria. Only option was ZMA-R but was not too keen for this Bike.
Reason: Simple, it was due for an imminent change. Bike will be devalued during Re-Sale.

TD was done in RTR-180. I was overjoyed with the feel and handling. It was perfect for me and matched my all Requirements. My WIFE also approved.
But the news of ZMR was trickling in from various sources in the Net. Hold my breath. Rumours were rife in the net about this big thing!!!

Ahoy, the Bike launched PRE-DIWALI. It was a delight to me. Even went to an Auto Fair (22, Camac Street, Kolkata) in Nov-09 to see it in flesh.
Posed with the BIKE and clicked some shots. But then I needed to arrange some more funds since NO Loans & EMIs for me.

Almost enquired every week about the status from HH but the queue was always more than TWO months officially.
As usual in 2010 I learnt the shocking news of the HH strike and then I dilly dallied for a while.
Financial year end, work load, tax saving etc. made my excuses.

                              PROLOGUE

Enough is enough. Became an honorable member of this esteemed forum on 07-Apr-2010.
Started reading the forum attentively from the First Post. It was tough since already more than 200 pages to read.
Every fodder is available in this FUNtastic thread from knowledge, gyaan, reviews, banter, joke ................

Finally decided to take the call and consulted my ASTRO. My choice was beaten BLACK & BLUE. Suggested WHITE. LOL...
But deal cannot to be done before 15 May-2010. OHHH NOOOO!!! I never wanted to be a MANAN (Just Kidding BRO).
                              Has to be SUPERSTITIOUS dudes.
The wait was pathetic and every fodder of article in the forum had already been gulped. It was a patience test.
Meanwhile tried to arrange accessories like Tyres, Helmets, Bulbs, Sensors etc. Nothing to be a joyous in this City of Joy as everything kept falling apart as most things are unavailable.

                              ESSENCE

Went too early in the showroom with my WIFE. Needless to say waited till 11 AM for the sales staff to drop in.

There were 3 WHITEs, 4 BLACKs, 1 BLUE & 1 YELLOW to choose from in the showroom.
Probably no one in the forum has seen so many colours at one go. My choice was WHITE.

Initially it was planned to pay the Ex-showroom in Cheque and rest in cash. Though carried some more cash as contingency. It clicked as there was a nearby AXIS ATM which made us think other way. Paid the entire amount in Cash and some through Credit Card.
Checked and completed the formalities. Since this place was not in proper Kolkata driving home without helmet was not a fuss but I should not do this. However the beauty of the beast made me do the sin. Drove around 12 km to the nearest filling station. Filled up with 15.5 litres and came back home around 3:15 PM all tired.

This is a monster beast with an angelic look. It is huge to maneuver but feels comforting to ride.
It is very tempting and difficult to keep under 60kmph. But I loved every minute of it.

Bringing the engine to neutral was not a problem for this steed but a huge turn on for the passer byes.
Cannot ride much now as the choice number for registration will take few more days. Hence rest is put on hold.

I again thank you all for your support & encouragement. Please cherish these shots for now.
