Manan: Your friend slammed the rear brake and tell you what, with disc brakes its an altogether different story. Correct braking means applying both brakes slowly but progressively and again its a skill you learn with time. He panicked, slammed his feet on the pedal, the wheel locked and you went boom. Its not a tyre fault, so chill. IF that was the case then why would people change tyres?!
with regards to parts, just wait. You need to keep pushing, keep calling the fp guys to source the parts. To get them early, this is the only way right now. Meanwhile, you got lots of time to recuperate Just make sure all damages are covered under insurance and you dont have to pay extra.
