i have this wierd thing.. if i shift to 5th gear quite soon.. that's around 40-45.. then i feel the bike doesn't really kick up and takes quite some time to go to 80.. there's a lag.. but when i rev harder and shift later say 50-55 then i'll zoom past to 80-100 no problems..Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Post"Power, Beauty and Soul - quintessential elements for automotive perfection" - Aston Martin

Using HID is far better option than 55/60w as the HID's are 35w (Stress on battery is less in HID than 55/60w halogen) and comes with relay. Its a straight fit on all DC bikes like ZMA/ZMR/P220.

also less heat with 35 w hid compared to 55w halogen so reflector also happy . you can always remove hid before service if warranty is issue as its plug and play and no mods needed .

Can you suggest which HID is better for ZMR....as you said remove HID before going to service...it will not be feasible; to change a bulb need to remove a full fairing...which takes lot of time....Originally posted by Puneet1 View Post+1

Need not remove fairing for replacing headlight bulb/pilot bulbs. BTW HID shouldn't void warranty as most of the showroom guys them self fit HID's (in Bangalore).Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostCan you suggest which HID is better for ZMR....as you said remove HID before going to service...it will not be feasible; to change a bulb need to remove a full fairing...which takes lot of time....

Can you help me how to change a bulb in ZMR without removing a fairing...i was in impression that full fairing to be removed for change a bulb too....also if i change bulb to 55w; does it harm headlight reflector...Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostNeed not remove fairing for replacing headlight bulb/pilot bulbs. 55w shouldn't harm reflector but it will harm battery !! I shall update about installing the bulb/HID without opening fairing with photos in short time. I have not installed yet on my bike, while doing will post it.Originally posted by veryhiphop View PostCan you help me how to change a bulb in ZMR without removing a fairing...i was in impression that full fairing to be removed for change a bulb too....also if i change bulb to 55w; does it harm headlight reflector...

I am also eagerly waiting for comments on this guys.
I want to change my head light bulb. Please suggest us a good option whether to fit HIDs or 60/55 H4 is better option.
For H4 60/55 options are:
Philips BlueVision, CrystalVision, Xtreme Power
Osram CoolBlue

How will it harm battery since power(Volts) to be drawn from the battery is same i.e. 12V. If it has to harm something then it should be reflector as there will be more heat generated due to 55Watts. This is In My Opinion....

Yash volts might be 12 but wattage is high where battery will drain faster. Its like u using a 10w 230v Electric BULB v/s 200W 230v bulb !! Thats the reason people shift to CFL's or tubelightsOriginally posted by sbr_yash View PostHow will it harm battery since power(Volts) to be drawn from the battery is same i.e. 12V. Hope i cleared the point.
55/60w do harm reflectors of low quality. I ve personally checked even 90/100w on my Unicorn. Unicorn/ZMA's are of top notch quality, hoping the same with ZMR. Only thing is don't keep the lights on when bike is stand still as air circulation won't be there which ends up heating too much.
I would certainly vote for HID as its safe on battery as well as reflector.

What the hell !! What has sensor gotta do with fairing?? Even I had plans to remove fairing but not very early. Riding with cross winds is a pain with fairingOriginally posted by manan View PostGuys .... I had a long talk with Fort-point SVC
