  • Sajit not required to rewind with my least knowledge on Bulls.

    I checked out in showroom and what they do is very simple. They will provide both lighting coil and charging coil output to the regulator and then feed it to RR. So it charges well. And Bullet has 6 pole coil (atleast mine) not 18 poles

    i bought the same hid projector for my thunderbird. the prob is the 5ah battery dies off very soon, leaving me in the dark. am not able to take the bike for long rides during night
    It can also be a charging issue, which the mech is now trying to fix.

    my question is if the rectifier and battery are good, do you think the proj HID can comfortably be getting power with a 5ah batt, or do i need an upgrade to 7 or 9 ah ?

                    Yes it can be done on UG3, but you have to convert your bike to Full DC and it is a mess........... go back few pages or refer to Convert AC/DC bike to ALL DC thread....

                      • I would like to share my experience that I tried projectors retrofit in my i20 from MXS Motosports mentioned earlier but the lighting was pathetic, it was just for looks. Also, they weren't sealed properly and moisture got in them and ruined the whole unit.

                        However, later on I found these projectors on ebay:

                              I have used pulsar220's Low beam projector,Sourced it from Junkstore at Shivajinagar in Bangalore for 400bucks and the HID kit for 2800bucks from JC road that too with one year warranty with bill.{ mail me If you need the Address I can guide you, I got hold of one guy there who had Loads of Laura's projectors}

                              For High beam I'm planning to put an55W 6" dia Spot lamp Which I bought earlier from JC road and also thinking of alternatives, will be doing after converting to All DC.

                                i read somewhere that HID-projector lamps are only for DC converted bikes. Is it true? Also can it be installed directly on stock p220 without much playing with the dome and stuff since I'm a noob in this
