I was just comparing in my mind my 90/100W Philips Rally vision with Autopol Gypsy reflector with your's

Low beam seems to be Equal but your high beam is much better than mine dont know how it is ??

I know you are running on DC & I am on AC but still I dont get that much effect even when I am at high RPM's such as more than 5k RPM.

@ sajjt - your low beam is kick ass man.. bit high beam is not so good.. & also as you said you will have adjust your beam position it is too low
Thanks yar, I know its too low, but I need to open the dome once again and its almost a pain for a day May be nextweek or so. My routine works r getting pending cause of this

Before opening the dome, I need to finish some homework to readjust the solenoid assy to make the high beam sheild open some more for a wider spread. Now its very narrow, u can see the spread width on the wall.

and it costs 12k for the pair right?pls remember tht im interested too!
Dude, I remember you, u r from my hometown, so possibly u'll be getting one of the first few intimations Mine is a slight bigger lens (3") and shroud, its not a easy fitment in bikes else, u need to cut the reflectors which I've done. But u cant go back to halo setup if u want to sell the bike or u need to have an extra reflector. This one is slightly small, 2.5" lens with AE outer ring comes around 3.25" total dia incl shroud. Its a direct fit for almost all bikes, provided u should've 12Cms inside the reflector cavity. See the dimension illustration for more details

The one I got as a duty free, but this will attract that too, but being small I think price will be almost near to that. Duty, local taxes, shipping chgs and other misc expenses are to be considered in detail, but it wont cross beyond that. 12K is a pretty good price, as local halo single beam projectors are costing around 10K without HID and high beam, we can provide both in this package. What do u think?

hmm....so you will be getting the smaller ones...if possible let me know the tot. price(shipping+handling etc) before ordering...so tht i can confirm after discussing with a fellow xbhpian friend of mine who will be sharing the pair and he will be checking for some good deal in Dubai and KSA too.

Compared to mine, projectors definitely give wider and better low beams.

But in case of high beam, normal reflectors provide better throw.
IF im not wrong then ur electicals are on DC, right ?
HOw does the battery perform with such a load on it,
Any special arrangements , im curious ?

I have rewinded my coil and using a custom made RR unit. And, I use a relay too. Battery is fine. I am using this set up inside city too without any probs. For highway riding (high rpm), I can even fit a 130/100W.

Nothing till now. Firstly, light is normal yellow/white unlike white/blue HID. Secondly, I used high beam only when necessary, never at checkpost or traffic intersections.

I am lucky I guess! It is sufficient in city, even in highways unless you are faced with 4x100W light from some trucks/buses!

Yes its a pain to do some work with the faired dome, I used to waste a lot of time when ever I pulled out, but now I can close my eyes and do the job. Its lil tricky one to find the holes of the side fairing bolts.

I too vote for Abhilashi, its really a motivating one, now I've started searching for the projectors at local junk yards. Sajjt, did u found anything new in those N Over bridge? Once u said u saw a Laura headlamp assy with HID? Is it still there?

If its coming under 5K mee too interested, being small I really expect a price fall

How about the cops reactions this time man? U had always lucky time with cops I hope Does the blue light wont attract them? I am just curious as some of my frieds told me that even blue halogen lights are prohibited right? Mine is a Blueish tint Philips 55W, but till date I have no issues

You need to position the lens some more higher, its toooo low and toooo humble beam, I doubt whether you can see the roads properly on low beam on this much low position.

Any plans to sell your old HID on a discounted ratez? I like the bluish whitish light, just love the way its bathing the roads with milky white

Rossi fan, fixing back is no more a pain, as I've also acquired the skills u were talking about Its the pulling out and fixing back of the glass takes a lot of time, we need to wait for till the sealeant cured etc. and for the first time ok, after that u get bored to repeat the same.

RF, I've'nt made any junks hunts recently so no idea its there or not. Man u can even try @ Pattalam market Thrissur, but all r foxy chaps. Am planning to source for a good high beam for me, if anything came across, will let u know.

Dude, cant say the price now as I told earlier, its still under discussion, may be next week or so, sample will come and update with that. I know there's a huge demand for the projectors, so I expect its a hot cake. Le mme see what I can do in this, pls wait.

So far so good with cops as the current HID is 5K less blue tint, less cop magnet and on the road its as normal as the Halo spread. And from a projector u cant see the glares like from the reflector types, so they r least interested I think. One of my friends Scorpio was fined for HID at Bangalore, but in Kerala havent heard any.

I know its too low positioned, but visibility is amazing even its too low. I want to make it some more higher to give some nice shots to some reckless A#&#* H#*# truckies who are least bothered about others saftey and rights For that am looking for another High beam too, current spots are not good enough I think or even that too negligible for the above said people?

Sorry, old HID is already occupied in the car and am blinding all on weekends I just love the floodlight rides at the cost of others curses just contraversial to the above statement though But I use the HB if the roads are empty, its really a pleasant ride with that Not like in the bikes, in a car u r really screwing every black spots with this HID the only downfall is the glare and the beam throw distance too.

Its bit expensive, a pair of lenses will cost around 12K. If u r a hard core, its not a big spend Its a 3" lens and with shroud and AE comes around 4" is not a direct fit for bikes but meant for bigger cars, so I've to do some extra work for making some extra space to accomodate it. Go for 2.5" lens or even 3" will do if u got a small shroud, as its making the kit meaty Abhi's mod is the most simplest and the VFM idea.
