ZMA my latest!!
Just bought the ZMA (yesterday) after months of delibration
. The only reason was PLEASURE
!!
Had almost booked the R15 but my friends told me that i look a little too big on the sporty machine and hence went for the ZMA.
First Bike: Yam RX 135...wow what a bike, still unable to get over it

Other Possesions:
TVS Victor: I would call this a upgrade after my RX 135

Bullet Electra: I liked the feel of a bullet, but my love lasted only a year. Felt the bull to be a little heavy and tiring in Blore traffic
Unicorn: Have it still, love the refinement"Bikes + Music = Nirvana"

back in time
it is RX 135 for me
why ? because i want to enjoy riding a bike to the full. what better machine can you get than a RX. i don't care about top speeds, drag races or whatever. but then if i beat that while 'm enjoying the ride.. who's complaining..
it just took me less than 5 mins - a very short ride- to decide on this bike (not which model but this particular bike) and a flat 45 mins to finish complete transaction
and the bike was parked in front our home. for a second hand bike that is really a good score
.
now 'm still waiting to get the bike to bangalore. well 'm using this time to prepare for the rides : new helmet, searching for spare parts, good mechanic. its almost like reliving the college times. 'm loving it (sounds familiar - but still).
i know there many like me out there who have bought RX or planing to buy one just to relive that time. all the best fellas
.
RX 135

Yamaha YZF R15
Yamaha YZF R15: I was looking out for a premium segment bike.....Two options ZMA,220 .....ZMa is a good reliable bike from honda....220 is a good bike from Bajaj, faster than Zma.....but zma scores over handling,Gear shifts
was planning to settle with ZMA as i was'nt impressed about 220's reliability....but its performance was pulling me....then by Jan i heard of Yammy's R15...i expected a fair 20BHp but came out as 17Ps.....not bad though...has good power/weight ratio.....i was impressed by its handling, gear shifts,stability.....it was better than the ZMA.....about the topend it was also similar to 220's....but even though the low end was'nt that good.....i was pulled by its mind blowing handling....and after lotta thinking i got MY racing blue R15 on August 16th, Saturday 10 AM...
From then leading a happy life with my Might baby R !!!Life's a Challenge
NEVER EVER GIVE UP

My first bike: Yamaha YZF R15
: After 2 and 1/2 years of job I was fed up of Hyderabad traffic and autos and desperately needed a bike. I am not a biker type guy and more into cars. The 2 new bikes from Yamaha took the attention. I really planned for FZ16 and I went to the showroom asking for a test ride and eventually I took a test ride of R15 too. The riding feel was so awesome that I could not resist and finally bought myself a R15. Cheers!Fear is the Trigger!

Nice pick, Vibhanshu. How do you feel about riding the R15 in peak traffic? I simply hate it, coz I feel I'm strangling her. I use her daily, but on lean traffic hours. I feel her right place is the highway, cruising along at 80-100&munching up the miles...! Go for a long trip&you'll know what I mean!Originally posted by vibhanshu View PostMy first bike: Yamaha YZF R15

True! Everyday I have to cross the Begumpet flyover for office (returning in evening is worse than hell). Now you can understand what kind of traffic I have to face. But trust me it aint that bad with R15. My wrist pains for now but probably after a few more days that will be gone. As my bike is new so havent ripped her that hard but then I did go to highways for long rides (at limited speed and RPM) and its just awesome, ultra smooth. No other bike in India can give this feel (for now atleast).Originally posted by R15Rocks View PostNice pick, Vibhanshu. How do you feel about riding the R15 in peak traffic? EDIT: All the reviews I read, before buying, said that R15 is not good at traffics. I disagree!Fear is the Trigger!

My first bike - a used 95 Shogun. Reason: I fell in love with the exhaust note, no other reason was necessary. I bought is from a doctor who was literally pissed off with the sheer low mileage of the 'gun.
Me second bike - Honda Shine. I needed something for daily commutes. I love the Shine.
My third bike - After I sold my first bike, I started having dreams of riding the 'gun and her exhaust note in my sleep. I tolerated this for almost a year and then I could not stop myself from buying another 'gun. It is a '98 model and I am making a complete makeover giving her a bone stock condition.
My fourth bike (would be) - Another 'gun with many modifications that I have in my mind. I am actively looking for one.

Avenger:
I had my cbz with me for almost 3 years, and needed to change my bike desperately. One day i rode my friend's avenger, and it was love at first ride.. bought an avenger 3 days after that.
The bike gives you unlimited hours of fatigue less driving and can maintain 100+ speed without giving any hassles in the long run. And it sure is ahead-turner!

My Bike; Yamaha RX135 '99 model
Reason :
- Always wanted a Yamaha RX100. When i was in 5th standard i asked my dad for a Yamaha RX100, he gave me a Hero cycle.
- One and a half year back, earned for it and bought it myself.
- Could not afford a RD350.
Why Second hand RX135 : Company does not manufacture them anymore and couldnt find a decent RX100 with clear papers. The wait was getting longer so got a Rx135 instead. Its a great machine and runs like a beauty.
Cheers!!Last edited by blisteringintelligence; 05-27-2009, 12:31 AM.

Royal Enfield Machismo 500LB
My ride: Royal Enfield Machismo 500LB in Alberto Green
Bought this after 7 months of getting my first job. After some mighty libran indecision between the R15, Zma, P220, TBTS and the Bullet family, I settled for the LB500. I wanted a big fast bike that I could ride into the sunset. Obviously that throws pulsar outta the window. R15 was way too revvy and plasticky for my liking. The Zma was rejected cos I somehow didn't seem to like it after a couple of hundred Ks on a friend's Zma. Great bike but somehow doesn't have the charm. Finally test rode the electra. Thumpy but too slow. Rode my SPMs tricked out LB500 on NICE road. Was hooked. Went and plonked cash. And rode off on my very own fast armchair on Jan 21st, 09. It's been a joyous 6400km since then and a constant learning experience each passing K.
