no no not that kinda burning. I mean some oil's (very low in quantity like 3-4ml) coming out of the head cover's seal (out of the engine) and getting fried there (on the engine head cover).
Btw, i still feel its because of earlier overheating.
      Waiting for others response..

Engine oils are supposed to get darker on use. After how many kms did you change the oil? AFAIK, synth oils can run easily upto 5000 Kms.
Also bajaj bikes are harder on engine oils because of higher operating temperatures, even my used engine oils comes out pretty dark colored, almost blackish (looks blackish but if you dip your finger into it & then examine the color its reddish). No need to worry if rest of the things are running ok.

        BTW, kitna deti hai? :P

The first oil chAnge after the block piston change and addition of fresh motul 30004t 20w40 grade mineral was done after 350 kms..Then i changed old oils twice at frequencies of 500 and 1000kms with same motul mineral oil.Now day before yesterday,I've switched to fully synth oil and have run about 50kms and now the oil appears to be a bit brownish.
All oil changes were accompanied by using stp oil flushes and new oil filters.
Kitna deti hai-always between 65-75kmpl when carb is nicely tuned.

Its fair enough considering the D135 makes almost the same amount of power as a Honda Unicorn (from an engine which is 10% smaller in capacity).
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Thats right...disco and xcd cant be compared in terms of power produced.XCD feels just a wee bit more powerful than normal 125cc bikes, whereas disco feels like a junior pulsar.Only if it had a fifth cog and better mileage,I would have selected disco As my bike.

dont use engine flush.. They can't be flushed out of engine by 100% i.e. Not good. Always change engine oils at correct intervals, bikes & even cars dont want nothing extra!
Btw, nice mileage 'scores'. Are those city figures or highway?

                    100% city rides.
Once I rode all the way upto jamshedpur from ranchi and guess what, the bike returned 83.xxkmpl.that too when it was merely 160kms old.

Bike is running great except that strong burning smell coming from near the engine head.
                      @Bike gurus,any views on this??

Oil is merely 3 days/120kms old..Its fully synth Castrol Power1 Racing 4T 10W50 oil.Is it because I've used a different grade oil as recommended is 20W40 grade??

people say this happens due to a lean mixture, try running rich for some days & see.
Bajaj bikes just hate running lean.

Why are you using FS while running in the new block piston?
