Yes. I had posted a query related to IBA Bun Burner route some time ago. For one or the other reason the ride is getting postponed. Planning the ride in March now.

Hi Guys. After successful saddle sore last year, I have been planning bun burner for quite sometime. For some reason could not execute the same. The itch has started again and is stronger than it ever was.

I have been thinking of route.I have decided upon "Bangalore-Tirunelveli-Bangalore-Satara-Bangalore".

I would like to know how are the current road conditions and weather conditions of Bangalore-Tirunelveli-Bangalore route?
Did anyone ride between Bangalore-Pune route. How is the condition? Any road repair work going on and will it affect the attempt in any ways?

Your suggestions and inputs are much appreciated

Can anybody tell me how is the weather along Bangalore-Dharmapuri-Salem-Dindigul-Madurai-Tirunelveli route.
Accuweather forecats shows showers for next two weekends.
Can anyody confirm what the weather is gonna be like along this route. This route shows showers everyweek. I am checking this route weather for last two months!!!
Rain in this hot summer...this is critical for my bun burner ride

since we did from panvel-banglore-sriperumbudur & back
you can do the exact opposite.

The route conditions atleast from lonavla to banglore are extremely fine.

The weather would be hot though.

feb would have been an ideal time.

Will recommend again to go through the IBA rules. They have instructed to avoid circular route-
(We strongly discourage, and in some cases may reject, routes that are repetitive in nature. For example, we would not accept a claim that you rode five round-trips between Daytona Beach, Florida and Jacksonville, a distance of only 150 kilometers...)

As per my experience (and of other certified BB members in India), the certification of BB will take almost an year. There's immense difference between SS and BB as far as verification,approval and dispatch timeframes are concerned.
In short don't take any chances, IF you don't want to risk your application. Also, unlike SS, don't consider ATM receipts as source of truth. Stick to IBA guidelines to the core.

The route stated by you is acceptable--

we too had planned initially for panvel-banglore-panvel-dhule-panvel which we double checked with michael

The circuit type rule is for someone who plans to go around in a small distance continuously & complete the Kms.

Information About Saddle Sore certification

Dear All,

I am planning to do Saddle Sore 1600K ride in near future on my Royal Enfield Elctra 4S.

I went through the rules and regulations on IBA website. But I am still little confused. The main part that concerns me is during the ride is it mandatory to stop at particular interval and acquire the fuel receipts? Some people say that I have to stop at every 200Kms and feel up some fuel in my bike and acquire the receipt for the same. Where as the rules and regulations on official website does not say anything about it. It mentions a mandatory stop at 600Kms.

Please guide me about making my ride more authentic for Saddle Sore 1600K certification.
