  • Enhanced Speed Pulsar 220sf

Guys suggest me some improved techs that i can use to increase my pulsar 220sf speed and endurance in hilly conditions.
I tried K&N air filter but it keeps on jamming so not much in that ..really looking forward to your suggestions.

    1. Throw away all the unwanted plastic/metal. So, remove the bulky headlamp, pillion seat, front fender, rear mudguard, chain cover, exhaust shield, tank (if you can properly replace it with a Maaza bottle), saree guard etc. (Renders the bike illegal though! And you become a dangerous road user.)
    OR
    2. Sell the bike and get a more powerful *stock* motor.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

He can also change the chassis! Right? To a light weight strong plastic wala!! Would reduce a lot of weight.. power to weight ratio will be wonderful!!

Oh, I see you want value add to the post.
So, why don't you/OP tell us what your budget is.
Because cheap isn't reliable and reliable isn't cheap. India doesn't have a well established tuning scene. The OP has mentioned he wants his bike to go faster. He hasn't mentioned if he wants an improvement in rideability.
There's some homework to be done on this topic by him. It's not a plug and play thingy. This topic can't be spoon fed. Loads of junk flowing on the www w.r.t tuning.
He wants more top end, he can sacrifice acceleration and get it done via sprocketing, he can plonk a bigger bore and add performance filters and change the exhaust to a free-er flowing unit and say goodbye to the bike in near future. Maintenance costs would increase tenfold.
Let alone giving a guarantee on mods in India, one is guaranteed to have a ruined mill sooner than later. If one has loads of spare money (maybe equal to the bike's cost) and one is adamant on splurging it on a perfectly working stock bike, one can try. But don't complain later that he wasn't warned.
You have something specific to add? Some tuner who can deliver? We're all waiting to hear from you. Any past experiences?
                But no affiliations please.
                Your turn.

Seems you are new to the site. Please check Divya's posts and then point finger at him. We take the sarcastic route when someone, even after there being numerous threads related to original thread starter's query, choose to start a thread which will eventually be closed because of a question which IMO makes no sense.

                    Re: Enhanced Speed Pulsar 220sf

You can change to a bigger carb, plus carb tuning, iridium spark plugs, plus the full exhaust system but obviously oil change intervals will increase, more consumables. Do try it and post your experience long term, but obviously going for a bigger bike is better and coming to k&n air filters they increase the top end and reduce low end torque which isn't what your looking for.

                            1. I stated facts, not opinions.
                            2. Tuning your bike in India will kill it.
                            3. As sarcastic as it may read, I gave you the options that would not kill the perfectly working stock bike.
                            4. I gave another reply which you may have been expecting when you opened this thread - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/help-me/...ml#post1276868

Keep the bike stock. Dont go for any mods which i believe is just a money pit and you wont be satisfied with the performance. Stock is less headache and more peaceful anyday. I have been down the modifying line and have regretted it. The best thing you can do is shed some weight off the bike and play with the sprocketing. Between pulsar 220f is already powerful in my opinion.
