    Much appreciated,
In my guess,I think its the Swingarm Collar with the Nylon Bushes.
Correct me if I am wrong.

If those are the engine mounting Bushes, I guess it will be a terribly laborious job to change those.
From my guess, it must be the mounting point behind the engine block, where swing arm is attached. I'll clarify and confirm it soon..

But here the scheduled maintenance prescribes changing the Engine Foundation Silent bush.
What to do here now ?

I have realised on this we go for one work and end up getting more work done on the bike.

Then, it went the same way if the engine was running. If the engine was switched off, tacho was normal. Two things noted were- needle was crazy when ignition switch was on and it was normal when ignition switch was off. The next is that the bike misfired when the needle was crazy. And severe power loss was seen when the needle was running around. The running needle was seen later randomly at varied rpm range(not only above 6k) along with power hiccups accompanied with it. After reaching home, I went for a short ride and there was no issue. Any ideas as to why it occurred?

The issue was solved guys.. It was just water in the socket issue.. But the low pickup+knocking issue still persists.. Hope to solve it one day..

I was reading the sprockets thread, read that duke200's rear can be used for undergearing and p220's for overgearing. Anyone with any experience?

    1. Check the air-filter. It might be blocked by dust. If the problem still persists, check the carburretor and the spark plug.

    2. Check tyre pressure. Sometimes a worn out tyre also causes wobbling.
If thats not the problem, then put the bike on centre stand. Try to move the tyre side-wise. If it moves, then the bearing is broken and you'll need to change it. It is also indicated by a creaking sound while rolling the wheel.

From my personal observation on my own machine it seems that you are having a very lean mixture.
Few determinants of Lean mixture are:
1)Knocking from the engine at specific rpms or while accelerating quickly
2)Bike fails to gain its top speed or the top speed attained is in a slow
    Manner
3)engine gets very heated even though one has changed engine oil recently
If your not having cold start problem then the fuel supplied by the pilot jet is doing its job perfectly but mainjet and the throttle valves are failing to push enough air and fuel into the engine causing a lean mixture even though your getting an avg mileage instead of a good one.

Try getting hold of a good mechanic and seek if the carb/air filter requires cleaning or replacement.
In ucal ug4 carbs provided by the bajaj the rubber valves gets damaged after a considerable period of time and requires replacement.
Although it was what I faced on my bike and once I replaced the rubber valves inside the carb it was all good to go.
Let me know if this solves your problem

Good points there mate. John there remains very little doubt that u r running lean mix. Have this addressed ASAP.

My trust old pal bajaj pulsar 180 ug4 has developed some problems,
I am facing serious electrical problems. few days ago my bikes display gave up but rest of the electricals like start button, horns and etc worked fine.
But now the bike is completely dead, battery is fine I checked myself, I have been facing this issue for long time, something or the other electric unit stops working, I take it to a local mechanic he takes two hours and it starts and he insists to keep the bike and leave it for two hours and showroom people are like witch hunters, they will say change this and we will see if it works or we will change the next thing and keep on changing till the bill exceeds my bike present value.

    Thanks in advance.
I suggest you to take your bike to the asc and get your bike wiring changed all this problem will get over. I remember my old pulsar 180 which had. The same problem which was solved by my mechanic as he changed the entire wiring. Hence go and get it changed
