I was watching them thru the glass window almost all the time and I could see them doing something on carb side. I think they would've cleaned the float on a high level.
The SA was patient in listening to me, the customer lounge was nice, they were allowing us to enter the service bay and instruct them etc. I found few positives like this in Diya. But the billing experience was horrible!
Actually this bike was bought and serviced from Venad as you can see their sticker on the front forks.
I wanted to go to Venad, but I was not completely sure on the route. Kollam city is new to me.
They have a new service center in Eenjakkal, TVM, where member Krishna recently serviced his new Hunk. Hopefully they would be better.

You mean carb slide sticking issue right - it could be. Let me wait for some more time.
Will check on the crashguard.
And, the bike is not Red, but black with red stripes
Price - something around on-road price of a new Passion Pro :P
In diya hero tvm they will allow you stand nearby the bike when the service is carried out. Tell them you want to, they will allow. Even if someone asks to wait at customer lounge dont mind him :P

Thanks. I have already got 20w50 catroo power one and found no issues so far. Gear shifting has become butter smooth compared to Hero's ASC stock oil which was little harsher.

Venad Hero is much better than Diya.
And that missing problem may due to carb slide or diaphragm problem which is there in the zmas.
You can use the stunner/ignitor crash guard with a suitable u clamp. Safety is highly recommend than looks.
Bike looks really gorgeous in red..[emoji7] Congrats bro...
For how much do u got her?

Re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk

Thank you all for your warm wishes!
I have ridden around 100 kms only so far and out of that 60kms was on a 2 lane highway.

With the previous owner, the bike was being occasionally driven for city rides and was serviced last year.
I took her to Diya motors, Kollam immediately after the purchase.
There was loud tappet noise which was worrying me a lot.
Following things done at SC.
- Tappet adjustment
- Air filter & spark plug change
- oil change
- chain wash and lube
- oil filter cleaning (I had asked for it and they billed, but I am no sure if they did it or not)
- clutch cable change
- battery check-up
- headlight bulb replacement and switch fitting
- carb cleaning (they billed for it, I'm skeptical on this one too)
- water wash
- air check

Got the bike back in great condition from the SC and was happy. But the bill was bit heavy on my pocket, which came around 2.2k.
Air filter costs double that of Hunk, and they charged labor for "valve lapping" (Rs.225) instead of tappet adjustment.
I didn't have time to argue and make changes, so just left it.
Few points that I noted being a Hunk user before
- Heavier and longer than Hunk (I knew the fact, but the length is really felt when we take U turns and all)
- The fuel filler cap doesn't have a hinge
- Can't kick start the bike in gear, can be started with the self starter though
- Engine is bit noisy overall at idle speeds, but is better once it picks up speeds
- The compression felt on kicker is really high when compared to my Hunk
- Sweeeet exhaust note
- Reaches 80 kmph really quick
- Gears are bit stiff but there is a nice clicking feel to it. Hope it will improve with time.
- Riding it with all those fibres around and no crashguard is bit scary one. Need to find a suitable crashguard.
(Had a fall already - It was on a sandy road at low speeds, note sure if it was due to the quick bite of the brakes or the poor MRF stock tires. Bike survived the fall with couple of hair line scratches)
- Better brake bite.
- The single downtube frame (where engine is bolted) is thinner when compared to Hunk
- The angle between rear shock absorbers and swing arm is less compared to Hunk
- The ride quality is excellent and the seat is just too good. I feel a little stiffness on front though, I believe the fork oil is never changed and would need a change.
- The clock on the digital display will be helpful on long rides

I think there is a small problem with the bike. After a quick downshift and overtake, there is slight delay/missing in throttle response once we slots into higher gear. Not sure of it is due to carb tuning or some other issue.
Also, there is slight heating felt on the engine - lean AFR? Or as advised by many members in ZMA forum, do I need to remove the engine cowl?
Anyways, will keep watching for few more kms, and see if the problems gets solved on its own.

I feel real sad, & angry towards Hero for killing the ZMA. No info from officials in this regard. Production stopped since 1 year ago, but still no news.

and now it appears Hero has stopped the dispatch for Hunk 2016 since last 2 months. Maybr temporary production halt.

Why selling when yours is still in showroom condition?

There is a not so good update about my bike. I sold my Hunk!
I had posted few months back that I moved to a new job in Trivandrum (Kerala) and I had brought my bike here with NOC from Tamilnadu RTO.
I faced some problem in registering the bike here in Kerala due to some formalities of the RTO here. I didn't feel good riding TN registered bike here for so long. So sold it to a friend from TN.
She was in great condition, hope the bike is in safe hands!
Here's a pic taken few days back before I let her go!

Having used the Hunk for around 4.5 years, I would like to mention the goods and bad of the bike.

Pluses:
Excellent acceleration in mid range.
Engine refinement
Ride quality and ergonomics
Spare parts' availability and price
Robust electricals
Overall Reliability

Minuses:
Mileage - neither great nor bad (Get around 40 most of the times)
Plastic panels break near the screw holes
Longevity of engine is less when compared to other Hero bikes

Now, which bike next?
Infact, I didn't have any plans to buy a new/used bike when I sold her.
I was commuting to work in office cab and had bought a new Figo recently.
So I was living the bike-less life for a month or so, but here comes a surprise message from my college mate.
He is having a bike from the very own Hero family that is not used much (Has run only 3k kms infact). And, he wants to know if I'm interested in the bike.
This model had lots of fans in its heydays, and is still having I believe.
I am a big fan of this bike from my college days.
I didn't want to leave the opportunity of owning one.
And finally I bought the bike.

Guys, any guesses?
