How much a rear tyre(tubed tyre) of CBZ xtreme costs from a manufacturer like Michelin? Size 100/90- 18
Can anyone here guide me to get a good replacement for my stock rear tyre (MRF Nylon Zapper Y tubed tyre) which is worn out ?Last edited by geni; 02-15-2020, 11:39 PM.

ODO Crossed 92,700. Both Tyre Replaced with Michelin. Third Set of Tyres. First one was MRF. Horrible Tyres. Changed them @ 42000. Second Set lasted for 50,000 KMS. Front No Puncture. Rear had two punctures. Both tyres has developed surface cracks. So decided to change them. Costed 4,000.
Service costed Rs.1,900 (Front Headlight, Pilot Lamp, Rear Brake Pad (lasted for 15,000 Kms).

[MENTION=28333]ROCKRZ[/MENTION] bro that's some serious life for clutch plates! Looks like you don't use half-clutch at all. A set of OE clutch plates of cbz/hunk cost rs 1500 which is really pricey!

i too own the first generation hunk which has done 3 lakh kilometers and recently had a complete engine seizure.
the replacements are as below:-
1) Block rebored twice, both failed in 1000 kms, finally replaced once. this was at 75000 kms. the replacement block piston has failed 2 days ago, will be replacing it soon.
2) Valve guides failed 3 times. third time, complete head assembly replaced
3) Cam assembly with bearings replaced once
4) rocker arms replaced once
5) 3 sets of tappets screws consumed
6) lost count of number of times the head cover gasket has been replaced
7) lost count of number of times the sprockets have been replaced. i am sure i have consumed atleast 20 set of sprockets. almost every 10- 15000 kms, i needed to replace the sprockets and chain
Except for above, no other parts replaced due to wear and tear. Infact, the bike is still running on its original clutch.
I will definitely keep this bike for ever, so i have started stocking up the spares.
BTW, all the replacements have been done as a DIY, and the current block replacement will also be a DIY

I recently purchased a used first generation hero honda hunk. Did a complete restore to the engine, changed tires, fixed the brakes and changed the meter assy, i am really impressed with the bike.

Get the carb cleaned and engine oil, air filter changed. Most importantly, ride smooth.
On aggressive riding I get 40-45kmpl.
Mine's done 80k kms.

1. The achiever having a differently designed camshaft which has a lower lobe height(not sure though).
2.Xtreme/hunk/unicorn share the same camshaft. Majority of the engine parts can be interchangeably used.

Hello guys,
The 150 cc honda mill has been used in several bikes from hero and honda. The unicorn, dazzler, trigger, achiever, xtreme, hunk and impulse all basically have the same engine. But one thing is really inriguing me. Each bike has a really different character.
My first encounter with this engine was when I was 15. I had just learnt riding and got an opportunity to ride a first generation hunk of my neighbour. A really excited me sat on the bike, thumb started it, revved it a bit then shut it off and gave the keys back to the neighbour. I was literally scared by the exhaust note and didn't have the confidence to ride it [emoji23]. But it was a true performer. It used to beat a pulsar 180 like it's nothing. Mileage was only 25-35 kmpl.
So I have a couple of questions for you guys.
1. The unicorn is clearly the smoothest and weakest. The hunk/xtreme feel very powerful and easily cross 100kmph. I know the jetting is different. But in a comparison of achiever and unicorn by overdrive they are saying that the achiever is much more free revving than the unicorn. So what exactly are the differences between these engines?
2. What all parts are interchangeable between these bikes?
3. The xtreme 200r uses a rebored version of the same engine. Is it possible to use the 200cc bore on a hunk/xtreme?

3. Used a 2k rubbing or compounding to remove oxidation and swirls. Also clean the paint.
4. Then used the polish to bring out the glaze and make the paint shine.
5. Used wax to seal the paint. Caranuaba wax.
6. Used plastic and vinyl dresser to gloss the matt black portion
7. Used liqui moly tyre dresser for tyres and rubber parts.
So lets look at the paint condition.

Paint has become horrible.
So products used
1: waxpol 2k rubbing compound.
One of the best products in market. Supreme easy to polish the paint and compound the top layer.
2. Sonax car polish
Contains micro polishing agents, lubricating oils and caranuaba wax.
3. Meguiars wax- A synthetic wax with caranuba wax. Gives the wet look and protects against dust, water and sun.
4. Waxpol- Dashboard and vinyl polis- Imparts the black look to matt black surfaces, clean the surfaces and protects against fading.
5. Liqui moly tyre dresser- cleans the tyre walls and gives a matt finish. Super easy to apply and wipe off. prolongs life of rubber parts.
6. 4 nos micro fiber towel- 2 nos was used for compounding. 1 was used for polishing, and one was used for final waxing.
7. Sponge and pads for applying and compounding.
8. A bucket with water to wet the pads during compounding and also cleaning pads while polishing.

Keep on polishing till it gets dry. Buff the surface. Use sufficient quantity on each panel.
Precautions:-
1. Be careful, this is cutting stage. Too agressive and you can cut the paint. It is the stage where expertise shows. Too much pressure and you damage the paint.
2. I use light or white microfiber towel. Can see how much paint and impurties has been cut.
3. Never polish with dry pad. Always keep the pad damp

1. Damp the pad and applying polishing liquid. Also apply a little on panel. polish the pad with light pressure in round circles while moving hand up and down. Mimic orbital polisher movement. Buff off with microfiber towel

3. After 2k rubbing a little hazziness will appear. Polishing stage will clean the paint and shine it.
