  • Hi guys, i like to keep my ride stock (other than cosmetics). What are the bulb options i can use as a direct fit on my CBZ which can give me better performance over the default ones?
I prefer not to go for HID kits, my friend has installed it in his hunk and after that too the beam is insufficient on highways(no streetlights).
Also the beam is not focussed on the road.

    Grammar is important .
For instance, commas save lives: Let's eat grandpa.
    Lets eat, grandpa.

    • Is it possible to swap entire electricals of Hunk/ Xtreme with that of Karizma...??? What would be the overall cost...??? If done so I think Osram Night breaker will be a direct fit as it has 188W alternator where as Hunk / Xtreme has flywheel A.C generator

Please suggest what should i do, i have not taken it to the svc but i think it should be covered under warranty.
I bought it in march last year.
I also have found the crack in the swing arm and found that rust is coming out of it. Immediately I reported that to my SC and sant an e-mail at regional office of HH. The SC guys checked it and admitted that it is a manufacturing defect. They have ordered it from HH for replacement.
          Move on.........

Went to the SVC today and got the silencer changed (free of cost of course). cost is 5k otherwise.
After the install and tuning i was amazed to see that performance had increased a bit in mid zones. Astounded by how a minor crack can cause decrease in performance.

Dude if you want to be happy then stick with the stock bulb. The stock light gives enough light, enough focus and enough reliability. If you go for higher watt bulb for better lighting then you may get better light but after a few time you will get battery problem and again you will get back to the stock.
Speed is a joy but roads are not race track. Keep speed in your limit and always Drive safe...

I don't think that stock bulb works with full potential. It is useful only in city conditions(As street lights are available) but once you hit the highway its completely useless, It's intensity is equal to nothing. It is like driving in the dark.

@All... I fell a better option would be 35w 4300k HID... What do you guys say

No to HID's as they are bright but there is tremendous glare..the beam is not focussed unless projectors are used, which is again a BIG change to the stock setup.
Is there any good 35W bulb which can do the trick?

What your friend was using on his hunk may be it was having higher rated HID But with 4300k or better, 3000k HID you get a yellow light and which has sufficient intensity...

                          +100.
I have used HID for few days. Not at all satisfied with the performence. Then shifted to the stock condition. Hunk is using PHILIPS H1 bulbs. Trust me, this is the best. I have tried OSRAM BILUX HS1, but it is inferior than the stock one.
I have done one small trick. I have removed the small 5W bulb facing the number plate and got little bit (almost negligible) improvement.

remove the stop light too and You can use Night Breaker working at Pull potential Stop light bulb is 21W. Which means 35+21+5=61W (Headlight+stop Light+tail light) So you can comfortably use 55/60W Night Breaker and use a custom made LED set for Stop light...

kaya idea hai, bas drive karte samay eak jhanda leke nikalna. Jab bhi brake mara jhanda upar utha dena.

If you want a trouble free light then stick with the stock one and if you need more light at highways the install some good aftermarket fog light separately. So whenever it require you can use it.
