Dude, its too reach. You can check the emmission, the 'Co' should be below 2.0 and the Hydrocarbon shoud be 500 to 600. Tune your engine and recheck the emission. Thanks to @Soumen.sam who helped me to fix the problem in my bike.
Please post your short experience with motul 300V 10W40 in your bike. From where you have got this stuff???
I told the mech to adjust the mixture he just took a screw driver and fiddled with the screw in the carb(Fuel screw) now the engine heats up even on short rides even with the 300v i can feel the heat i my legs when i park the bike .Overheating means the mixture is set too lean right? i have no choice but to set this thing myself i found this article online please tell me if the procedure is correct... here you go:

1)Ride the bike for 10-15 mins to get the engine hot.

2)Set the idle RPM to 3000 by turning the Idle screw.

3)Turn the fuel screw CLOCKWISE(RPM will decrease)...Keep on turning it but make sure the engine does not stall,

4)After setting the leanest possible setting start turning the fuel screw anticlockwise(do this very slowly) the RPM will increase(the article say's if keep on turning after this point the rpm will start to decrease ie i will set the mixture too rich and advices to stop turning once the RPM becomes constant) when the RPM becomes constant stop turning .

5)Set the Idle to 1000RPM and check the response .

Is it safe to try this procedure?.

Edit: Though the engine is overheating i find the pickup has increased for some reason... overtaking on the highway has never been this easier, could the lean mixture be the reason for this?

If you tune your bike's engine, there is nothing wrong. But, as I generally do, to check the tip of spark plug, the colour should be brown(neither white, nor black) and do an emission check and take the reading. That ensures good tuning. There may be many reasons for heating up the engine. As in my HH Hunk, I have found that if I ride at 40-45, the engine is getting heated. But if I ride above 60, even at 90, the engine remains at its normal temp. That started happening after I had a top up engine oil with Gulf 20W40 in Patronas Sprinta 5000 4T 10W40. I am going to drain the E.Oil on urgent basis.
      Move on.........

Ok tried to remove the spark plug by turning the wrench Anticlockwise it did not budge so tried it clockwise it came off easily.Inspected the plug it was not BLACK,NO oil deposit's,no white deposits it was kinda like the cigarette bud color is this the mixture right .I will get the CO test done do the SC give you a slip mentioning all the data cause the last time they did the CO test the SC guy said all is well he did not give me any slip.

Motul 300v 10W 40(Rs850) is available all over the country Atlantic lubricants is the importer for motul in india.I got it from Goodwill agencies here in chennai they are one of the distributors.

I hear one can mix 300V of diff. grades(not sure) without any problem, but mixing gulf with petronas that too diff. grade not advisable.

Edit: Its too early to post a review on this oil(just completed 150Kms) will keep you updated.

Its too less man. Ideally it should be 2.0 and the minimum is 1.75. That means you are running in too thin mixture.I think you must have felt less power at higher rpm.
Now do one thing, put the bike on main stand, and unscrew the fuel knob(the copper knob, you must be knowing that) on the carb by 1/2 (anticlock wise 1/2 thread). That may do the job. After 2-3 days of riding, check the spark plug and the emission once again. I have done it in the same way in my HH Hunk to attain right mixture. And, ofcourse a big thanks to Soumen.sam for guiding me.

whoa.. so i am running a lean mixture? is that why my engine is heating up.
Should i set the idle RPM to 3000 and do all that? or just warm up the engine and put the bike on the main stand and turn the fuel screw by 1/2 thread?thanks.

I think it must not be brown. Brownish means lean mixture, Blackish means rich mixture and Greyish means balanced mixture.

Just clean the tip of sparkplug, so that there are no deposits, after 20-30kmps, check the tip of sparkplug.

No. Even you can do the job while keeping the engine off. Its a setting only. Once you set the right mixture, you are done. Start your bike and vrooom.

You can clean it using sandpaper. Before installing back..make sure that plug is clean of any dust.

Even my Xtreme is running with NGK Platinum (G Power), ofcourse found no difference when compared to stock plug.

                        • Hi Guys,

Friends, please help me with deciding on my next bike.

Currently I have Yamaha Gladiator 2007 model with front disk. I am happy with its performance and I think its the best 125cc bike.
I was thinking that I will buy a 150cc Yamaha bike as my next ride. But current models of Yamaha dint impressed me. I need Performance, Quality and then looks.

                          So planned to get Karizma and felt its pretty costly and cannot afford to its maintenance. Dint like Pulsar's & RTR's as they are not that reliable and I dont like vibrations at all. Then Suzuki GS150R - forget it I dint even bothered to think about it. I felt its huge and and the quality is not upto the mark. {Purely my opinion, no intensions to hurt anyone}

Narrowed down to best 150cc bikes Unicorn & Xtreme. I know these both bikes has many things in common. But wanted to hear a word from you guys. Two of my friends has Unicorn 3rd Gen and 4th gen I felt that both of them are very nice. But sometimes I think why not Xtreme as I like the solid looks of it. So just want to know if Xtreme is as smooth as Unicorn & Handling is as good as Unicorn.

I dont want to start any brand war here. Just wanted to get a honest feedback from you guys. And this is going to be my last bike. I am planning to gor a car after this bike.

                          Thanks in advance friends.

Your first priority is performance and yet your first choice is Unicorn? Better get the Xtreme. It will not be as smooth but atleast not as boring too. (IMHO!)

Xtreme is not as smooth as Unicorn, And its not better handler than Unicorn. But in either cases Xtreme isnt bad when compared to competetion. Xtreme bumps almost 1bhp more than unicorn.

Both are great bikes...tough choice, Test ride and decide.

Me too feel that way i wonder why its priced at Rs 200 is it better than the OE plug's?.I will use the sand paper and one more thing there are 2 screw's one is STAR screw in the carb(later i found out that was not the
correct screw) so i tightened it back took it to a local mech who pointed me to the correct screw i will do the CO test and post the result on monday.

Dude close your eyes and go for the unicorn.I sold my unicorn to get the Xtreme i regret taking that decision ,i am not saying Xtreme is a bad bike(I love mine) but Xtreme cannot give you the awesome Sofa-on-wheels exp. thanks to the mono shock and do not forget the Mileage 50+ even at 80Km/hr.I find the extreme to be better in the braking department and honda's ASS sucks big time(Even the HH guys are better ).Lastly the resale value ...well you know who win's here.

If you go for the Unicorn burn the warranty card in the showroom itself ...you wont be needing them.
