The cbz-x i had has done over 55k kms in 3 years, first sprocket set was changed at 27k and the second one is still good for another 1500 kms, just two more adjustments can be done. This is with some very continuous long distance touring and regular maintainance of the chain.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostNo Hunk owners here?

Also im a sedate rider
I dont just blast off gunning down the throttle, however most of my time on the highway im doing 80-100 kmph speeds.
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

Mine has done 19000kms in 1 year
with Michelin M45 4.00x18 on rear for past 6000kms, its a little heavy tire than stock, so I am expecting early wear in the chain and sprocket! will have a check on it!
Me too a sedate rider unless on rides on open highways..

same as mine ;D , that's a good amount of riding
Ohh forgot to mention
I was running on IRC's from 9000 kms itself. Used about two sets of tyres. IRC's rear is reasonably heavy (not more than sirac ;p obv)
Set 1
2.75x18 front, 120/80x18 Rear (lasted from 9k till 24k kms )
Set 2
3.00x18 front, 120/80x Rear (24k-45k kms)
Set 3
3.00x18 front, 120/80 rear (45-onwards)A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

Yeah lots of riding, thanks to my daily 45kms commute to/fro for office.Originally posted by Xenologik View Post19k in an year

I had problem with Dunlop stock tires that came with bike, front was having manufracturing defect..changed twice but of no use...so got 2.75x18 Michelin M45 which is still foinf good even after 14000kms and Dunlup stock rear tire too had same problem as it has slight wobble (it was will almost all Dunlop geaocruiser on Xtreme) so had to change it twice without no use....so dumped rear dunlop and swithced to M45 on rear too! Great tire to use, completely happy with it!
How coud you fit 120/80 without any problem? Chain gaurd must be out for sure, but what about Brake Rod, got it bent?
I had to get my bike brake rod little bent so that tire does not touch it! there is just a 1/2mm gap!
it looks huge on Xtreme! adds to the looks
you still using Xtreme?2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

^ that's my bike :P using the uni's swingarm and chain cover, no mods needed, and the 120 IRC tyre looks thinner cause its really round profile. I changed cause the zappers which came with this bike were.. really bad. by 7000kms itself the tyre despite having grooves to last 60,000 kms, the grip was too bad. So changed to IRC's cause i couldnt find michellin then

I think it is with the GeoCruiser on all bikes. There is a slight wobble felt in 1st&2nd gear, more pronounced with pillion. But after speeds of 30 or 40, all is well.Originally posted by riazmomin View PostYeah lots of riding, thanks to my daily 45kms commute to/fro for office.

Maybe its due to the criss cross tread pattern of the tyre, but thats also what makes it last very very long!
I have it on my bike since 4 years/32K kms.&yet to see it wearing out.
Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Yep, stock zappers appears to have good grooves but they fail to provide grip!Originally posted by Xenologik View Post^ that's my bike :P using the uni's swingarm and chain cover, no mods needed, and the 120 IRC tyre looks thinner cause its really round profile. And congrats on the P220..
I have seen a couple of Geo-cruisers on Xtreme which dont have a wobble at all! And the wobble that tire had on my bike was well visible at higher speeds too! Though the tire gives good grip..but it fails me at corners, bike acts little scray.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI think it is with the GeoCruiser on all bikes. AFAIK..even tires come with expiry date, read on wikipedia or somewhere! Older tire develops internal cracks in the rubber compund and prone to have more punctures and chances of bursting I think.
M45 has been good on all kinds of terrains, sand (most scraiest for me
), water and off-road! Though it comes at some premium..but its worth.

Oh the mod was done after a lot of measurements n all. The clamp was exactly welded in the centre of the frame so hat the mono would be 100% in line without any offset which would be disastrous. The height of the saddle increased slightly but it was good.
However i'd not suggest this mod as the biggest issue is that of the airfilter. K&N is definitely not good (you'll get to know after some 30k kms) and its better to stick with stock. So if you can source a filter that's the same in airflow as the stock filter then its worthwhile.A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

hey guys i'm glad to be a new member of this community.have just got me a brand new hunk in candy red. thanx to everyone for replyin to my posts. The purpose of biking -
100cc- to get from point A to point B
125cc- to get there fast
150cc- to have some fun while getting there
200+cc- to start from point A and forget when point B passed by
It's not the ride but the rider that matters!

what is the warranty period for this bike???
I had seen in the manual mentioned as 3years or 40000kms.
But when I purchased the bike last year(sep) here in delhi, they offered me extended warranty of 1year for a cost of around 500 bucks.
Yesterday when I am going thru some documents I had observed that the dates were mentioned for extended warranty like sep-2011 to sep-2012...
I am confused
If my bike has 3 years warranty with the purchase, why the dates were mentioned like that??
that might be a mistake or what..?
actually I had purchased my bike in a very very hurry.... missed this thing.
