Hero Honda Hunk Limited Edition
Hero Honda Hunk Limited Edition
Hello to all my xBhp friends.
This is my Ownership Experience of Hero Honda Hunk Ltd Edn.
I didnt see any thread for Hunk so I decided to write it myself.
I got my beast on 27th March 2009, please dont write useless comments like its so late and all that, I know its late but as I said above no thread so I am writing it.
I turned 18 on Feb 25th 2009, in two weeks we went to HH Auth. Dealer Fort Point in Kurla, Mumbai and booked this beast but delayed the delivery time of two weeks as my dad wanted it on Gudi Padwa as its very auspicious.
This is my first bike and I learnt to ride a bike on this beast itself. I got rude comments from others as Hunk is around 140 KGs and its a heavy bike to start with but HEY!!!!!!! its my bike man and no one messes around with me so I did what I had to do!!!!
Till date I have ridden 7303 KMs, I know its very less for such a long period but I am not allowed to take my bike beyond Thane and Vashi!
The mileage that I get is around 45 kmpl.
The Pros:
- Great Graphics and specially because its a limited edition bike, only 25,000 bikes all over INDIA.
- Muscular Side Blades.
- Great Suspension ( Comparing it with FZ and CB Twister )
Well I dont know much about the technical things as I am an Electronics Engineering Student!
The Cons:
- Very Heavy handle bar.
- Step up seat is kinda awkward.
- Stock Horn is very sad and very low sounding.
This is what I feel and its subjective people so please dont put rude comments.
Recently I saw that HH is launching a new version of Hunk with Rear Discs, better visor, better gfx, digital cluster!!!!!!
I love this bike, Its very wide with a bold look and a silent yet powerful engine.
The best part is the Service, I had heard that the HH Service People are very nice and do good work, I accept this fact and yes they are simply great!
A thumbs UP to them!
I have ridden at the max speed that I cud reach alone i.e. 110 kmph but only twice.
I ride it only at the speed of 40kmph as I dont wanna kill my bike with my own hands, many people in college tease me for this but I dont give an F to them.
In a few words I can say I am fully satisfied with my bike and now I feel very happy as I dint go for any other bike in the same 150cc segment.
My Customization:
- Added to Skoda Laura Pressure Horns. (RTO guy caught me twice but hey its worth the sound)
- A remote controlled security system, It can even start the bike with no keys, a rude alarm even if some one taps their feet within 1 feet on the bike.
So guys please comment on my review.
P.S. You can see me on my bike as my display picture here on xBhp.
I am adding a few pictures that I took myself when I got this beast!

I am bad at photography so dont tease me for that!I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

@HH_HUNK: Since there hardly any technical difference between the special edition and the standard Hunk, there is no need to create a separate thread.(Been There Done That) x 3.25

@HH HUNK the side panels where GRS is written has tendency to break where it joins the tail panel(under the seat) around 30k kms on odo.so my advise is either tighten to specifications or put a rubber strip(something of rubber ) between the srews.
I was told by svc that "they break because of vibrations" but i don't think there are too much of vibrations in the bike.

Bad Luck
Well I am sad to report it here,
My beast has been brought down by my unfriendly neighbours,
On New Years day i.e. Yesterday I took by bike for darshan as we do it every year on new years day to Wadala Temple and i returned and kept my bike, later at around 8:30 pm me and my family were going to see Action Replayy but WTF I sat on my bike, started it and put it in 1st gear but WHEN i tried to give it throttle it the acclerator was mjoving freely

OMG I broke into tears man, almost two years with my bike, no problems whatsoever and now this???
On new years day my neighbour came and broke it

Today the HH Service Center is closed and its like more than 4 kms away frm my house
I was shocked as well as crying coz some pestering kid broke my bike.
I installed a security system so no one touches it and on that day I forgot to turn on the alarm, my foolishness

Guys keep a good look for such filthy neighbours
Now what to do?
Do service people come to repair it here?
Will I have to drag it to SVC????
Please reply guysI feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

my bike has clocked 2800kms till now...........slight vibration starts from as low as 55 but it is only on handlebar & foot pegs......though those who are driving pulsars & apches wont call it vibration
but the vibration remains from that speed till the top speed but doesn't increase..........so is it normal for all cbzX???? i used to pour caltex havoline 10w30 oil......(only 10w30 grade oil available in Bangladesh)

thanks in advance
You can change the cable for yourself, if you are not confident, then get it done my some mecahnic. he must not take more than 20-30 for it.Originally posted by HH_HUNK View PostWell I am sad to report it here,

One solution: Go to the Bajaj Spare parts dealer and ask for P-200 head lamp. Its 35/35W, but simply works awesome. (The research was done by our member, Hunky and I have used it.)Originally posted by nomad.sudhir View PostI am having problem with head lamp of my CBZ ex. Intensity of light is low which makes me nearly blind in coming traffic. Battery is new. lamp fitting is also ok.
. I have never faced this problem before 40k KMs with my bike.
