I am planning to switch to Veedol super swift 10W-40 for my Hunk its completed 27K, can you please ask regional manager Veedol distributor here in Delhi, I don't want to go to a local dealer for avoiding any fake product.

How does this oil perform in winters can we continue using it in winters also?

This is the oil right ? Two Wheeler Oils :: VEEDOL SUPER SWIFT

        Thank in advance
I used Shell 10W40 , initially it was good , later there was a drop in the acceleration. I switched back to hero OEM 10w30 oil and the smoothness is back. Someone on this forum suggested me to change the oil more frequently so that the engine remains smooth . I feel that is a really good idea. IF you use a thicker oil , cold starts during winters will be difficult right?

Problem seems peculiar. Did you have the throttle cable and choke lines checked ? After cleaning , was the carb fitted and tuned correctly ?

plz dont use 10W40. i own HUNK and i change the grade to 10W40 shellAX7, but i had bad experience. my bike initial punch was lost and post 60kmph, the bike was trying hard to rev. but when i switched back to stock oil, 10W30 the bike became more rev friendly and post 60kmph, speed is superb. i would suggest to stick with 10W30. moreover, if you use 10W40, you need to change the cylinder head gasket, because the stock gasket is not suitable for semi-synthetic/fully synthetic oil.you will face often oil leakage.

            Happy riding.
Is it!! , So you used Veedol 10W-40 or which brand because I saw lot of appreciation for this brand and grade oil, experts please trough some light ....

I also checked this buddy, but thought how come there is only one dealer in Delhi so asked may be someone bought it from some where else.

Once I used Gulf 10W-40 and there was hardly any diffidence and as written 5000 kms on the box, I drained it at 1500 kms as oil level on the stick went drastically low but I think Veedol is better in this case...

I am running on Shell AX7 past 1000km and it is good as i rode in high heat during day , so w40 kept engine cool , but i faced slower punch actually no punch after 5K. So since winter is going to come and temp are below 35 it is better to use w30 . Gulf 10w30 Pride 4T plus or Synth both are good and available almost everywhere . No doubt best will be Veedol Takeoff premium 10w30 , shoeb and sibun have used them , so far good reviews only, In dire cases get Hero 10w30 by tide water , it is also good for 1500 kms
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)

Clutch ? at 23k ? I doubt ,unless your riding habit is very poor . What did your mechanic or ASC have to say ? Do let us know if you get your problem fixed

Currently I'm using Veedol Super Swift 10w40 in my xtreme (38K on odo) for the first time since 600 kms. I felt that the acceleration has become a bit sluggish.
I am a regular user of Gulf 4t synth 10w30, and in my opinion this oil suits xtreme best...

P.S: I have not tried Veedol take off 10w30 till now, since I could not find it in East Delhi.

i used shell AX7. there are two problems in shifting to another oil.
                      1. Grade:- Iam 200% sure if you use any grade other than 10W30, you will feel drop in performance/mileage. Though 10W40 will reduce heat compared to 10W30, but the heat generation will not harm engine, since the engine has been tested for 10W30 only.
                      2. Other brands:- if we shift from hero oil to some other brand, gasket corrosion may occur which leads to oil leakage and the corrosion will be very fast like every 500km we need to change.
---> My advice donot change to other brands. use always hero oil. for me the mileage got improved when i shift back to hero oil. now getting 50-55 constantly whereas with shell AX7 10W40 i got 50. also for me the hero oil will come for around 4000km-4500kms and the bike will be still smoother even at summer times. one thing is to check the oil level.low quantity will increase vibration and over fill will lead to drop in performance. always maintain level between the two marks in the dip stick. importantly check your oil level by keeping bike in main stand and after warming up for 2-3 mins. between , i have completed 26000km.

Bike struggle to move beyond 60kmph and also rpm doesn't go above 5k .it struggles there.. but if I park it and rev the rpm normally goes to red

Check the engine compression. Your engine is leaking compression heavily as a result under load bike is not revving high. Most probably valves are leaking or bent due to improper valve adjustment.

I have already explained that due to low compression your bike is not revving under load. When parked and revved, engine has no load. Clutch plate will not wear so quickly unless ridden with clutch or with no play in lever. My bike is at 35k and clutch plates are still like new.Check the engine compression.
