Can you post couple of more pics of the plug & cover for observation?

Looks original to me, I bought a NGK-CR6HGP few days back & makings/engravings on it resembles like the above plug.

        1. ///// JAPAN /////
        2. Four letter alpha-numeric code on the nut
        3. Colour/Fonts of NGK & model number on the ceramic

Apparently the plug is manufactured in Japan, not sure if 100% or partially.

Ya thats a original NGK g power plug. Nothing to be worried about. And mileage after 1st servicing decreasing is nothing to be paranoid about. Just wait some more days and during second service ask the service guys to tune the carb.

I dont trust those SVC mechanics to tune my carb who drains engine oil after washing bike :P
I dont want to tune the carb either. I wouldv'e done it by following your carb tuning guide but there are few things that i dont understand. If there were more pictures then i might had ......i can atleast turn my afr screw by 1/2 turn or something like that on my own after first service if needed.

Yes ! The dark sooty color of the plug is an indication of rich mixture.

                Ride safe and have fun.

Is our hunk/xtreme compatible with splitfire cable? Saw one of them in a local shop. does it need any modification to setup or just open and set?

                    Need some advice !
My xtreme has completed 36 K on odo. From last few days, I'm observing rattling sound from engine especially when engine is hot.
Consulted my mechanic, and he told that it's timing chain noise.
Now my question is that by replacing only the timing chain will the issue be resolved? Or the complete assembly which includes chain, both sprockets, guide and tensioner should be replaced.
                    Hi Guys,
My xtreme has clocked 37100 Kms till now. Timing chain noise was becoming very irritating, and front disk brakes had lost it's bite as well.
So, went to my mechanic's garage yesterday for the servicing of my xtreme.

                    1. My mech opened the head and magnet cover to remove the old chain. Upon inspection, he told that only chain is faulty and guides and tensioner are fine. So, I went to Karol bagh and purchased "Rolon Silent Chain" for xtreme/hunk. After installing the new chain, there is absolutely no noise from engine .
One more thing I would like to share that after fitting the new chain, I told my mech to use Resibond Gasket sealant which I had brought, between magnet cover gasket as well as head cover gasket. This is to avoid any oil leak from those areas.

                    2. I was using ASK front disc pads since last 14K Kms, therefore due to aging front brake had lost it's bite. This time I got "Makino Disc Pads" which are equally good and costed only Rs. 80. Now, the original bite is back!!

                    3. Due to scorching heat in Delhi, I did not used my favorite Gulf 4T Synth 10W30 engine oil this time. Instead, I purchased "Veedol Super Swift 10W40" engine oil because it is thicker than Gulf Synth which is good for summers. Moreover @sibun recommends this oil as well
I'll update about it's performance after clocking few hundred Kms.

                    4. Apart from all this, air filter was cleaned using compressed air, chain was tightened and bike was washed and polished.

Always be beware when you purchase something from karol bagh as it's a place where fake and duplicates rules the market, plus i would advice you to always go for oe parts, makino make good parts, but when the same company who supplies material to the manufacturer starts supplying same part in the market the quality is very down and because of this low quality parts they are able to sell the same part cheaper.

I know this, and always purchase all the parts from my trusted shop with bill.
This shop is an authorized HMC spare parts dealer, and I have been visiting this particular shop for more than 3 years to purchase various spare parts for mine as well my friends bike.....

Finally the signature tappet noise has started in my New hunk which has done 1800kms only.
After riding 5-10kms loud tik tik noise comes from engine but when the engine cools down that sound vanishes.
My idle rpm is heavily fluctuating from 1000-1300 rpm and most of the times the bike stalls when i release the throttle.engine feels harsh & very very vibey.
Shall i adjust the tappet now or shall i wait for few more kms?
