On quick acceleration I felt a roughness and noise in engine, otherwise was simply impressed. Headlights are good too.

I can't compare it with my Hunk, because I bought it after all the abuse by the previous owner.
Any guys who had test driven both Hunk and GS150, please share your experience.
I used to ride my friends GS150 for a while , mind you my bike is xtreme and not Hunk. I loved the GS 150 . Despite all the abuse it had taken , it was smooth , really good suspension . The huge tank gave a sung feeling . I felt the handle bar was a bit short / small compared to xtreme . I still wonder what difference it makes if the front disc is on the left side of the wheel or on the right. The engine is very smooth , however I did not feel any sort of roughness under hard accelration . May be you rode a test ride vehicle.

GS150 is a very comfortable bike for tall riders , it has a very good stance. The seat is in a way very comfortable .The pillion seat is very comfortable , and very high. If you are a pillion , you will have a nice view of the world. Old people will have a difficult time getting on the pillion seat though.

Suspension is made for India . It can easily eat potholes and road humps for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Suzuki has fortunately installed engine kill switch - greatly missed in xtreme and hunk . Better disc brake (has better bite , I feel) . I did like the speedo meter console , very simple and elegant , but the "ECO-POWER" button could have been designed better, You need to hold it for sometime till you can toggle between the modes.

Overall a good bike . Most owners claim good FE , it could make a good touring bike infact . Would like to know anything specific ? Do let me know , I shall try my best to answer you.

      Thanks for that.
The front disc is BYBRE make now in new GS150.
Though I told rough engine on acceleration, it was completely vibe free...
The speedo console is the highlight, I would say best atleast in 150cc segment.
I was going thru ownership thread and all claim FE of above 50 in city.

I was wondering for sometime why GS is widely recommended everywhere, but one needs to ride it to believe it.

My bike is fz but i am posting this post because i thing your solution will address my issue.
My bike ideals real rough. It sounds like
Dhak...dhak...dhak..and easily vibrates handle bar when on ideal but is ok when riding.
        Any suggestions please?

            Hi,
Second service of my xtreme done day before yesterday at 3475km. Engine oil changed and teflon polish done.
I like to inform u guys here 2 things.

            1. I took the bike from asc at evening and went home which is just a km away. Nextday morning i took the bike to nearest petrol pump for top up of nitrogen in tyres. I was shocked to see pressure in the tyres. It was 35psi at front and 60 psi at rear which was then deflated at the petrol pump. I went to the asc again. The incharge argued they cant fill so much pressure as the experienced mechanic had done the work on my bike. But later the so called experienced mechanic agreed that the nitrogen filling apparatus isnt working properly and he had filled gas on his "experience"

            2. 2nd thing is the same exp mechanic said that hero has barred them from using greese on any external parts of the bike. ( like chain adjustment rod/nuts, brake adjustment rod/nuts etc) They are only allowed to greese internal parts like chain & swing arm rod.

            Ur thoughts on this pls.

Only person i appreciate at asc was the person doing teflon polish.

            ASC is westcoast motors, mangalore

digital pressure gauge like this which you can carry with you as a key chain. Michelin gauges are heard to be more reliable.

                    Hi Guys,
The head light of my xtreme is just too poor. I had already replaced the stock Halonix bulbs with Philips 35/35 Watts, but there is hardly any improvement.
Please suggest me some other bulb with 35/35 watts power rating, which can improve the visibility.
I do not wish to go for high power bulbs or HID, since it'll drain the battery quickly and my bike doesn't have kicker.

                      A quick update!

I've noticed that my bike performs much better with Shell Super Petrol. With Indian Oil, I used to get an FE of 36-37 odd. With normal Shell, 40 and with Super Petrol, it is 45 on an average. I can't quite understand why this vast difference in FE. But hey, who's complaining!

difference of 5km/l is a big one, did you check multiple times?
And how's your big bore performing?

Shell pumps are mostly Quality and Quantity oriented.
Rest all the pumps say IOC, HP, BP can't provide you both. That's why they say 'You can be sure of Shell.'
And they don't even think of trying to cheat. I travel 8 kms extra to fill from a shell pump.

I am using 60/50 from Philips premium vision for over a year, No battery issues.
I think the brightness decreased lately so planning to replace with the same or bluevision.

I've checked 4 times now. And It has been 44,45,46 and now 45.

Big Bore, well, I haven't really done a top speed check. But the bike in between 5k and 7k RPM is a real hoot to ride! It's been around 7500km since the Big Bore and no complaints. I guess it's the headword and Big Bore that warrants a need for Super Petrol. I'm wondering if Speed petrol will make a similar difference too.
