After cleaning re-fit back and adjust the idle to 1100 rpm when hot and then check.@ i cannot remember who it is but someone has mentioned that his bike is lacking pick-up and has run 11000 km. Just change the air filter and your bike will be back to normal performance.

Ok, feeler gauge is available in the market for common people, because some says that only company sells it can they don't sell it to individuals...

I have changed my air filter at 18000kms and cleaned many times after that by myself....and I will try to clean the jet and let you know.

Do you need the spark plug pics...?

This is no OT. Anything regarding to bikes is not OT.Glad to help you anytime.

Not many things can go wrong with the bike. Check these things as i have mentioned below and your problem will go.

        1. Tappets- Was your tappets recently adjusted by SVC. Chances are that it would have been screwed by them. Get yourself a feeler gauge and check yourself. Setting is same as extreme.
        2. Carburetor- Check slow jet may be clogged as we get very clean petrol here. Just open the float chamber and open the jet and clean it.

        3. Spark plug- Check the spark plug. If you are running rich or have ran on choke most probably will have shorted. These NGK resistor plug gets easily shorted. Open the plug and check. Symptoms of short plug is all black with wet tip as the fuel will be stuck on tip.

For your hissing sound from where is the sound coming. Only two things from my estimates i am telling:-

        1. From the inlet duct from carb to engine somewhere leaking which will also cause erratic idling. But cannot be since it is a new bike and the rubber doesn't get damaged so soon.

        2. The o-ring in air suction pipe on the head. See where the pipe is bolted to head cover. there is an o-ring which would be leaking. Change that. If cannot get in spares shop just ask splendor clutch o-ring and they will give.

Any other doubt post it and will reply back.

Feller gauge is available to all. Do you want a picture of my feller gauge.

No need of spark plug pictures. I am sure of your problem and this will rectify it.

A detailed DIY on Adjusting tappets has already been posted by yours truly a few months back. Why do you want to go to a mechanic for the same. Check that out in the DIY section.

I was busy ( ) with work and incidentally not much with riding. Though went on some adventure - hiking, trekking, rock climbing, river rafting, rappling, etc.!

                Hello guys..
My CBZ was almost idle from two months as I was out of town. Dad merely drove it (70 kms on the trip meter).
I returned home today nd took my bike for a little spin. I heated up too quickly nd there was a slight smell of burning oil when I parked it back.
Should this be a matter of serious concern?
                Some suggestions please. .

Nothing should happen in two months, anyways suggest you to check the oil level.

                      Guys,
I took a test ride of a Suzuki GS150R in a showroom yesterday.
I was amazed by the ride quality and smoothness of the engine. The seats are very good and the suspension makes it glide over potholes.
On quick acceleration I felt a roughness and noise in engine, otherwise was simply impressed. Headlights are good too.

I can't compare it with my Hunk, because I bought it after all the abuse by the previous owner.
Any guys who had test driven both Hunk and GS150, please share your experience.

                          Hi,

a few days ago I adjusted the position of the break pedal and I found there is no lubrication in side it, it started rusting,

I put a few drops of engine oil and fitted it back.

I think this it the same condition on wheel bolts and swing arm, I think they are not lubricated after its assembled.

Need advice what else should I check for a 2yr / 24000km old.

Trigger has less kerb weight(137 kg) and about 0.4 bhp less power than XTreme.
The heavy unicorn itself is known to be giving 55 kmpl in normal riding.

                                anybody here painted their silencer?

I bought a matt black aerosol spray paint but I came to know that it cannot withstand such temperature.
But I saw SVC using same paint on silencer of passion or similar bike

I have scratches on my silencer, What to do??
