Re: I wont be buying this
You can go upto 7K RPM occassionaly and above 5K RPM most of the times. On highways, your bike will touch 5K in no time.Originally posted by PRATHM View Post

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Done 800 kms after engine rebuild. Getting mileage of around 40kmpl. Changed oil to Hero 10W30 at 650kms, cleaned oil filter too. The filter was completely clogged with dirt and metal particles.
Tried sourcing a new filter, but no luck. Will try reaching authorized stockist next time.
The mechanic had put Castrol 20W50 oil just after the rebuild and hence the butter like smoothness I felt after the rebuild.
The mechanic says - "10W30 is for smaller engines like Splendor where power is very low, these 150cc bikes need atleast 20W40"
I insisted on Hero 10W30 and I had already taken the oil with me. So all good now.
With 10W30, there is a very slight increase in vibes I think, but engine is more free to rev. Hope the mileage will also improve now.
Just started going till 5k rpm and couldn't resist - I took it to 75 kmph once while starting from a signal.
The revs were climbing freely....

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hi i own a Xtreme. As for my bike goes, yes vibration problems were there, but once u put some KMs on your ODO, it vanishes. Problems do occur, as my xtreme was suffering from lack of power across all gears which caused heavy vibration, bike was not moving freely and @ the range of 50 to 65 in 5 th gear my bike was vibrating so much such that it was very painful. After a proper service, now my bike is flying, how some vibe issues though, which i think will be solved in future. You need to follow proper run in.Originally posted by ShahriarXtreme View PostAll the new hero xtrme users i am planning to buy hero xtreme or cb trigger. please let me know does the new xtreme vibrates? if yes when? for your information let me tell you i have sold my 2008 xtreme just coz of its vibration & frequent tappet problems....
But if u want vibe free machine, if you can compromise mileage you can go for FZ which has good low end torque. Also kerb weight is less, but you will not feel the power you had in Xtreme.
Also people like Sibun/ Shoeb are there to guide us.
Since you have already owned 150cc bike, you can also think of upgrading. Choice is yours
, i will suggest you to take a long test drive and then decide.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
I live in Bangladesh so more than 150CC is not allowed. My 2008 xtreme had vibes from 4k rpm to till redline. thats why confused. Fz's mileage is just too poor. now confused between xtreme trigger. the one which produces less vibes will be the one that i will buy.Originally posted by GuruXtreme View PostHi i own a Xtreme. The Xtreme i have , i can say had vibes only from 50 to 65. My friend has unicorn and he says even he face little vibe from 4.5 RPM to 5.5 RPM but definitely smoother than Xtreme. I suggest you to take test drive and decide.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Hey guys, Race Concepts had posted this:
Since I have got their Big Bore and head work done, by their reckoning, looks like I need a bigger Main Jet. Now, I looked around and the Main Jet is 128. So the appropriate size will be a 130.5? Also, where can I get such a main jet and how much will it cost?If your vehicle has our Big bore kit and head work, in the very least one must go up a jet size by at least 2.5, I. E. The stock pulsar 220 carb has a 115 main jet and to properly fuel an engine with head work and a big bore kit, it is recommended to up jet to Atleast a 117.5 main jet. More heavy upgrades will require larger jets, please inbox on Facebook for us to attend to you as fast as possible.Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Guys i m facing a problem....
My problem is that my bike has done 22500 kms and when i stop at a signal or bring my bike to a halt the engine dies.
I have set the rpm screw to 1200 rpms when hot, noticed 1 thing as well, whenever i accelerate suddenly the engine dies when ever it is running.
I set the tuning of the carb to 2.8 turns anticlockwise from the leanest position but still the problem persists.
I had got the serviced done at the svc on saturday and after that i took my bike for a long ride and the fuel efficiency i got was on the lower side i.e 36 kmpl, the speed max was 80 kmph...
So in order to increase the mileage i tuned it myself and then this problem started. and also my rpm fickles +-300 rpms.
Tell me the solution for this problem.Hero Honda Dawn-2009-2011

I believe your 'slow' jet is blocked. I had a similar problem, cleaned the slow jet and it was gone!Originally posted by tusharxtreme View PostGuys i m facing a problem....

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
After clocking 9.5k Kms my bike it needed some work in front end so here are the problems i was facing
1. Forks were bottoming out easily and were stiffer with low damping
2. Handle racer was loose and was making "kat " sound on applying front brakes.
3. Front brakes needed caliper greasing
4. Tyres were leaking air with no visible punctures
so here are solutions, i proceeded with greasing the caliper pins and cleaning disc pads. After talk with sibun the leak problem was sorted out by over inflating the tyre to 80-90psi and letting ithold for a while and then deflating it to 35-40 psi, now leaks have drastically reduced. Now forks needed oil change so here is a short diy on it
1. Get a measuring funnel or a graduated beaker in which you can measure 160 ml
2. Buy fork oil of your choice , i got Gulf Front Fork oil at 45/- per bottle , you will need two of them
3. Remove visor and loosen 4 bolts on handle (#12 no ones)
4 .Now cover fuel tank with cloth (i will come to this pt later )
5. Remove wheel axle (it is bit tight )
6. Remove Brake caliper and tie it with string to leg guard dont let it hang
7. Loosen #13 bolts near front number plate
8. Pull out one fork at a time , open the top #16 or #17 i dont remember correctly
9. As you remove the fork the handle will go free and swing at this point use a string to tie it to another handle to keep it steady , i didnt pay attention and it scratched tank a lil bit
10. Drain the oil from fork , if possible measure it.
11. Pump the fork and let it aside so all oil drains out
12. Clean the spring with lint free cloth or tissue papers
13. Check inner fork tube for and scoring marks , if none then you are good to go
14. check it tube is bent, this can be done by pumping fork out and keeping it in glass, it should not be bent much
15.Measure 160ml and pour it inside fork and put back spring tapered or more spring part inside
16. slowly pump fork 15-20 times to remove air
17. Close top cap , fix it bit loose on bike
Repeat same for second fork, When tightening make sure you maintain correct distance and height between both forks or alignment will go wrong
Put back wheel and while tightening axle nut apply disc brake (oh yea put back brake caliper too ) and then tighten axle nut .
After fork oil change , bike has gained much needed stability and potholes are much less painful now..
some pics of course

What is a handle racer and how much did it cost ? If u can put a pic and point it out it will be really useful .Originally posted by RohIIT View PostAfter clocking 9.5k Kms my bike it needed some work in front end so here are the problems i was facing

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Handle racer is a part we widely know as cone set. Its a metal ring that holds the bearings of handle firmly, due to bad roads and sudden braking it gets damaged, so it goes loose and makes kat sound when we brake, to adjust it we need toOriginally posted by girimajiananth View PostWhat is a handle racer and how much did it cost ? Open up cbz insignia cover on handle
Then using #30 socket loosen it and open it
Then remove lock washer and lock nut
Using C spanner or screwdriver hammer tighten it
This is bit complex process as it requires time and precision both
I was not able to adjust it as it was evening already and I can't work at night
In few days I will adjust it and put up pics

Its a good DIY. Very helpful.:thumbup:Originally posted by RohIIT View PostUsing C spanner or screwdriver hammer tighten it

Just add one more thing that it should not be overtightened. Otherwise it will affect handling.
Obviously not on the loose side too. The setting should be optimal.
Btw I too got it adjusted few months back from my mechanic. He used a spanner to adjust instead of hammer and screwdriver. It was a 5 minute job for him and he made it just perfect.
I had observed him carefully, its a simple fix, can try in future with help of this DIY

I'm a noob but I have done some Photoshop work on HH Hunk image and would like suggestions how I can achieve the looks in the Pic.
I have thought of these following modifications that I couldn't put on while Photoshopping.
1. Rear Disc Break.
2. Bigger wide tires both read and Front(probably FZ tires)
3. Non-stock Silencer(I'm ok with few KMs drop in millage. how much will it drop
)
4. Good short handle bar.
5. Will Pulsar NS head light fit it?? if not, I would like to go for twin round lamps found in the second pic.
Also please suggest the good place to get the modifications at a reasonable price.
Will wait for all your expert advices.
Thanks in advance.

Any help plzzz......

1. Rear Disc Brake: This is an expensive affair. You need changes in the swingarm and the alloy wheel. Not to mention, the disk pads alone cost 1200 odd. The entire setup should cost well north of 5k I assume
2. Bigger wide tires both read and Front(probably FZ tires): This won't be possible with the stock alloys. And even with bigger alloys, it might not work. SatSon has a 110 section tyre that rubbed the lower chain guard. There no way the wide tyres of the FZ will work at the rear. The front, I don't know.
3. Non-stock Silencer(I'm ok with few KMs drop in mileage. how much will it drop
): You can try the exhaust from Race Concepts. It is lighter and will give you good performance gains as well. But note that these are illegal for street use and should be used only on the track. A good, tuned for your engine exhaust should cost 5k+.
4. Good short handle bar: Any bike's handlebar should fit I guess. But FZ should serve the purpose you seek.
5. Will Pulsar NS head light fit it?? if not, I would like to go for twin round lamps found in the second pic.: I believe it should fit. Not a direct bolt on, but will require some jugaad. Some clamps here, some clamps there. You catch my drift?
Overall, I would say steer clear of these mods. Except for 4 and 5, all of them are very expensive mods you're planning for.Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P
