For close ups, always use Macro Mode. It will give you much better focus that what you've posted. Also, keep the plug far enough from the lens so that the camera is able to focus. And turn off flash. :P

120, I believe is more bane than boon. You can try a 110. But sincerely, the options for Tyres are very limited given the 18 size. Michelin Street Sirac was a good tyre before it got "Indianised" apparently. But, if 110/90 is fine, then you can try the Pirelli Sport Demon. They are the best in the business when it comes to the traction and handling you require. But life is limited given the soft compound. But yes, you can definitely do around 15k on it if you ride sedately according to other forums.

Got the oil changed with Hero OE (Savita chemicals), also had another bottle of Hero OE(but Servo), used some oil form it too.
Needed more than 900ml as the crankcase was removed to inspect oil filter, but there was no debris this time.
Hero oil is now dearer by Rs.35 costing Rs.250 for one bottle!

Also, got the handle ball race(cone set) changed with Hero OE(Rs.349).

But apparently the quality has dropped from what these tyres used to be before. They now use a harder rubber to give longer life and consequentially, the grip and handling levels have deteriorated. :/

As i have said before of re-threading the cam shaft holder for better tightening of head bolt and also for no leakage of head cover.

Here are the photo of same:

This was done at almost 12k before and i have opened the head cover three times since then and tighten the head bolt very hard and still no problem. After this job has been done i have never changed the head gasket nor have ever used sealant during these three times and there is not a single drop of engine oil leakage.

Also last sunday serviced the extreme on my own as i wanted to do a thorough servicing:-

The containers for engine oil and diesel for cleaning the chain:-

The oils used. The engine oil is Veedol 10W 30 and the gear oil is REX 90, not so well known brand but does the job nicely.

A thorough servicing as to my satisfaction was done.

The result:- Touched 115 kph without crouching with throttle to spare while going to work place the next day.

Hi bro,

Some questions from me :P

1. How many kms after which you changed your Zapper Q?
2. I am planning to change my rear Zapper Y and voila! I found your post. How is the handling/speed/braking/grip post installation of the CEAT Zoom?
3. Does the CEAT Zoom come in Tubeless also? Hard/Medium/Soft compound?

From the pics, the tyre sure looks grippy.

Thanks

2. I am planning to change my rear Zapper Y and voila! I found your post. How is the handling/speed/braking/grip post installation of the CEAT Zoom? I read somewhere that Zapper Y is having very bad grip. The tire is very new to comment on handling etc, I've ridden only 20kms so far, had tried couple of hard braking with rear brake alone and I felt it to be better than Zapper Q. Also, I found good reviews on it in Karizma thread.
3. Does the CEAT Zoom come in Tubeless also? Hard/Medium/Soft compound? Not sure on that part. You may have a search in Karizma thread, this tire has been discussed multiple times there.

From the pics, the tyre sure looks grippy.

Thanks

For engine oil drain hole brass is not used but bush of mild steel is used. It is stronger than brass threads and will withstand the higher torque of bigger bolt.

Sir , it will be a complicated job to fit mild steel bush in engine oil drain hole , right ? because some thing can get inside the engine ?

Removed the carb from my xtreme for cleaning.. But as usual tight screws keep me away in doing any thing i cant even remove the throttle cable cover(black plastic) also cant open the carb screws... I am posting photos of my carb and tools... I'm surprised why all screws in my bike is rock solid

Jithin Nice job you removed carb from bike, and disconnected tps properly, dont lose hope on screws as most of them are thread locked means they are kinda fixed to avoid opening. No worries just place screwdriver on screw and give mild tap by mallet of hammer on screwdriver, let someone else hold carb so avoid deformation of carb body, if in vain take it to nearby mech and he will open it easily especially float screws are real hard to open

jith-in- That is what separates the experience from novice. You can repair a bike by reading manuals but opening screw needs experience. The screws can be opened with no effort if you know the trick. The trick is that press the screw hard vertically by keeping the carb on something solid.Your all force should be on the screw vertically as if you are pressing the screw inside the thread. Grip the screw driver tightly and keep on pressing hard. Then with full force in pressing the screw suddenly give a jerk in the direction of opening of screw. The jerk should be instantaneous and without removing pressure, the screw will open like using a impact wrench. Another method of opening a tight screw is to first tighten it slightly and then open it.
