There is no warranty on chain, so they shouldn't raise any issue. Read the terms and conditions regarding warranty given on the back of your owners manual.

What your mechanic suggested is a float valve.
What is the function of float valve?
If u see there is a float chamber on the bottom of every carb. The fuel gets stored in that float (its just like a tank). Then it passes through the jets attached to the center of the carb.
And to avoid overflow of this float, a float valve is attached to a plastic called thing, which stops the fuel coming to the float chamber. In a simple terms imagine your toilet flush box. What happens is when the water starts filling the box, a air ball starts cuming up. Then when the water level reach to the top, the valve attached to it get closed and the water stops. Similary when water reduse the valve opened and again fill the box with water.
The same logic applies here. If a valve gets clogged then float will get overfill and fuel gets overflow through a drain pipe attached to the bottom of the float.

As far as your problem is concerned. I think either aur AFR is not correct or passage through where the fuel comes to the float is clogged somewhere and flow of fuel is slower than your bike consumes. The demand is more than the supply. The faster you drive the faster it burns the fuel and float has to get fill per demand. It has to meet the requirement for a smooth ride. If it don't then u will feel like there is no power. Then when u reduse your throttle means reduse your demand then supply gets more or equals to demand then it runs fine.

So I've given u the idea what u have to do. Just check though your mechanic or go to a different mechanic and see if they able resolve your problem.

If your problem still prist, then report here then we would gladly able to assist you in this matter.

This thing is known as diaphragm , it goes up down in the carb , heres how it works. the motor turns over, and
creates case pressures and vaccums. the pulse
port in the case transfers these pressures and
vaccumes thru the pulse port to the carb area
directly to the diaphram. the diaphram moves
back and forth to these pressures and vaccumes,
which then draws gas from the tank to the carb,
allowing the motor to run.

Basically it is a pump which reacts to our sudden opening of throttle by pumping fuel from tank to carburetor

The rubber gasket around diaphragm must seat properly and it should be free from holes. A hole or improper seat will result in lower vaccum or less fuel pull from tank , which causes hiccup.

Thanks bro and you got it right I suppose and is it right to replace or re-fix that diaphragm to solve my hiccups during high speeds??

Replace it , but I dont know whether it is sold seperately or not , senior members may help in this regard , you can try finding this part in vehicle junkyard , but that too poses risk of damaged part. So best option get it new , but first confirm it thoroughly it is damaged by switching it with another diaphragm from xtreme or hunk

imran.syed- First of all check the diaphragm for any tears and then only replace. The diaphragm is not sold separately and is sold with slide so check before buying, Also check whether while fitting the mechanic is properly sealing the diaphragm edges with carburettor. The diaphragm doesn't goes bad so soon as i have seen extreme of my friend crossed 1.5 lac without carb slide change.

And lastly do not go for unicorn slide as it is 26 mm and extreme has 28 mm. But check the sealing of the lip of diaphragm properly before changing.

Get your carb tuned and ask those SVC guys to tune it using Hand held tachometer.

Thank you so much sibun ji, I didn't changed the diaphragm & its a stock only. I will re check with different mechanic about properly fitting. I saw it personally its not damaged ,i think its only alignment issue happened when the mechanic had opened it to clean whole carb.

I just want to confirm ,the minute hiccups at high speed is because of diaphragm only or something else it is ? it started after a service with carb cleaning.

My xtreme was making some clanking noise during idle . I could mildly hear it when i was riding but on idle it was more pronounced. So took it to SVC and the head mech opened
the the bore. The SAL bore after 30000 kms looked like new. The crankshaft roller bearing on the right came off in his hand as soon as he removed the crankshaft . He said it should not come off this easily. So he replaced both the rocker arms and crankshaft as mine has crossed 70000kms . The chain tensioner along with the chain sprocket was also changed .The rocker pin was not available so got the unicorn pin from honda SVC nearby. Total damage Rs2780.

Now the bike runs like a new bike . Only slight tappet noise can be heard which i will set correctly when i get the time .Only thing thats left is to tune the carb properly .

• Front Disk pad touch the disk plate

I have a CBZ x-treme 2010 with front disk brake recently i gave to service center for rectify the bent in T of handle ( Handle became tough to turn then service center guy suggested) after that it became some easier to turn but not so easy as i it is on hero glamour. It requires to shift weight then it turns at speed above 50 km/hour.

1.) Does it require long distance to take turns or i have problem in it?
2.) Front disk pad touches the disk at one single position. I told to the service center guy he changes the disk pad and wheel bearings but still it touches. Although it does not squeeze the front wheel but affects normal rotation. Please tell me what to do. (i belong from jaipur).

3.) Bike lighting is poor, i'm not satisfied with it's 35 W bulb. What can i do to increase illumination.

Hi All,

I gave my Xtreme for its servicing a few weeks back and I asked the SVC guy to check the front tyre as it wasn't moving freely. Post service I noticed that the tyre was moving freely but the disk brake wasn't working properly (It seemed worse than a drum brake rather than a disk one) which was perfectly working when I gave the bike for servicing. I complained and the guy said that I need to replace the brake shoe, and it's because of that the brake isn't working properly. My bike is 5700 kms on ODO and just turned one year old a few days back. The SVC guy said it doesn't depend on the KM's but the usage of the disc brake. Still he opened the brake shoe and the after rubbing it with sand paper assembled it again but the braking is not yet improved. Please help me with an informed decision.

Also in December last year I faced another issue, that the rod which connects the engine with the exhaust (which was attached using two bolts), one of the bolts fell off on its own and the other one was also loose which I tightened before any further damage, the SVC guy said it happens to which I argued if that's the case then one fine day all the bike's spares will be falling on the road on its own to which he had no reply. Helpless I had to get the new bolt fixed for which he charged me around 30 bucks.

Please share your views.
