ID:	1874927It is 1500 kms after engine overhaul, and still getting mileage between 38-40 kmpl in city. Got 44 kmpl once during a week where it was holiday season here.
Oil changed once at 600kms. Now running on Hero 10W30 oil.

I just had a look at the spark plug today. Please see the picture, let me know your comments on the spark plug.

Also, I doubt if the champion spark plug is genuine, planning to get it changed to Hero OE / NGK.

To make things worse, again i was getting the sluggishness. Then i went again to service center, blasted them up for the sluggishness and excessive handlebar vibration (This is the 3rd time i m giving to them which is repeat complaint). I have asked them to read the manual atleast , asked them to check following things

-> Clutch Lever, Clutch Play and clutch plate
-> Drive Chain and Drive chain slack (1.5 inch)
      -> Air Filter
      -> Spark plug

Lets see how it works now. Phew! hate this thing, unable to enjoy my ride

Update : ASC mechanic is asking me to change the Oil to R15 Oil. When i said i m using MOTUL, he is like MOTUL? what is MOTUL

The crankshaft roller bearing on the right came off in his hand as soon as he removed the crankshaft . He said it should not come off this easily. So he replaced both the rocker arms and crankshaft as mine has crossed 70000kms . The chain tensioner along with the chain sprocket was also changed .The rocker pin was not available so got the unicorn pin from honda SVC nearby. Total damage Rs2780.Now the bike runs like a new bike . Only slight tappet noise can be heard which i will set correctly when i get the time .Only thing thats left is to tune the carb properly .
Why did you open the bore as i am dumb to find here mechanic opening the bore for any problem. I never touch the bore until and unless bike consumes oil or dynamic compression gets low. That is not the crankshaft but the Camshaft on the head. And i had told you nothing to worry about SAL bore as they have improved in quality a lot after so many complaint. Now the SAL bores have liner from USHA or GOETZE and rings also from USHA or GOETZE. only the piston and block is from SAL. Your is also same. And i had also told you to use 10W 30 or 10W 40 grade oil and see the result the bore is also still like new. Previously you were using 20W 40 which wreck havoc on Bore and camshaft.

What can i do to increase illumination.
First tell ne did your bike had any accident or fall and if so to which side it fell. Then i will be able to help you in point no 1 and 2.For bike lightning get the Philips HS 1 35/35 W bulb that comes in new extreme . The bulb is thinner than normal halogen bulb and you will get from Showroom, just ask the thinner bulb that comes in new pleasure and mastreo. My extreme has the same bulb from factory and light is very bright. Moreover the old extreme had 125W altrernator with 8 poles whereas the digital model from 2011 onwards has 140W alternator with 12 poles of coil.

Post service I noticed that the tyre was moving freely but the disk brake wasn't working properly (It seemed worse than a drum brake rather than a disk one) which was perfectly working when I gave the bike for servicing. I complained and the guy said that I need to replace the brake shoe, and it's because of that the brake isn't working properly. My bike is 5700 kms on ODO and just turned one year old a few days back. The SVC guy said it doesn't depend on the KM's but the usage of the disc brake. Still he opened the brake shoe and the after rubbing it with sand paper assembled it again but the braking is not yet improved. Please help me with an informed decision. Also in December last year I faced another issue, that the rod which connects the engine with the exhaust (which was attached using two bolts), one of the bolts fell off on its own and the other one was also loose which I tightened before any further damage, the SVC guy said it happens to which I argued if that's the case then one fine day all the bike's spares will be falling on the road on its own to which he had no reply. Helpless I had to get the new bolt fixed for which he charged me around 30 bucks. Please share your views.
Those idiots had let oil sip on the pads and thus the braking has gone for a toss. Open the pads and see if the pads are wet with oil. If so then change the pads and clean the disc with SURF water and french chalk. The bolt holding the silencer was loose and thus fell. Tighten it properly else use a spring washer and it will not loosen again.

Plug is good and the plug shows your running is very short indicating soot deposits on side. Slightly lean the mixture. Champion is a good plug and i have seen on my Joy only champion lasts and NGK shorts in 2 days. This is from the beginning of my Joy and champion plugs gives better performance on my Joy. I am yet to test champion on my extreme and will do so after testing but rest assured champion is one good plug more so after FEDERAL MOGUL has taken over it.

All your problems that you were facing from beginning was because of this. Oil is leaking from head gasket and that means if oil is leaking that means compression is leaking which explains the sluggishness and vibration and bad performance.Ask the SVC to change the head gasket and use a thin layer of Gasket sealant on the new gasket. All your problems will vanish for good.

          Hey fellas!

I just filled in Nitrogen in my tires!
But when i lean my bike i feel that the bike will slip..
I dont get the confidence which i used to get when there was normal air in tires..

Once i even got slip at speed of 15 at a parking lot of a Mall.. the surface was slippery..
The bike feels soft and stuck to the road on straight line.. But lacks confidence while leaning..

          Thanks in advance!

God, so this was the culprit, i didnt see the oil leak before. SVC mechanic said he had replaced Camshaft and its working super fine. I m yet to get the bike.
Is that good enough sibun? Also do i need to top up the oil now...

              Hello CBZs and HUNKs,

change the spark plug to Apache twin head spark plug,I did on my Hunk and get 50km/l approx. This plug is same fit.

Champion vs Bosch (Twin head / electrode) vs NGK Iridium IX vs Normal (stock) | Nex Gen Bikes

Also maintain the speed between 50-60km/h and don't rev hard.

My hunk is giving good mileage for 2 year as of now.

I was wondering if the soot deposits are sign of oil burning?
Still I see little bit of oil deposit at the tip of silencer.

Today i drained old oil in my xtreme and filled with the Hero oil... bike is smooth now.
But on draining i got more than 1l oil and filled with only 900ml... Guys what is the reason behind this phenomenon???
Still the user manual says to fill with approximately 900ml oil on draining,I'm getting more than 1l burned oil...!!!!!!!
also checked the oil level it is between min and max readings

Tilting bike side to side drains 1l of oil, so if you are just draining you can just refill by 900ml else you need 1l if you tilt bike.

Hmm, It can be due to slight overfill previously, svc guys generally fill entire bottle of oil, so it was near full. Anyways if oil level is in between max and min no need to worry, if you want you can top up some oil but it wont be much necessary.
