Resonance is b/w 65-75 kmph (normally) but even if one two bolt are not tightened to correct torque levels the resonance 'location' can vary over the rpm range. Complain while getting Ist service, specifically ask him to double check bolt tightening (big components like swing-arm, chassis, wheels, crash guard etc etc).

          • Bike is doing great....mileage of 55 kmpl (approx)...
I am working on a LED based light system for the bike. It is like a kit. Will go to source supplies next month (no moolah...diwali main diwala nikal gaya)
If it goes well I plan to make a proper kit out of it for all bikes.Fingers crossed.

            • Thrashed my Achiever above 100 mark (speedo) half a dozen times this week after 1700 kms of careful run-in, bike is slightly smoother than Xtreme upto 100 kmph mark (probably due to round headlight on my Achiever instead of front fairing on Xtreme). Gearbox is 'ULTRA' smooth, engine runs like electric motor, morning cold starting is not impressive though.

Avg. Mileage in the last three weeks averages to 54kmpl. max. being 57kmpl and min. 48kmpl. Loving my bike !!

Make sure you use good quality kit, else you'll end up with some electrical issues.....

I meant I will make the kit myself...by that I meant something which will not tamper with the bike electricals. And can be put on or removed when needed.

That they did...also the gear ratio's are changed a bit. The service interval is improved, new colors introduced (mine is a ebony gray metallic). Also it seems that the engine has more higher end power...
*all this was what the person at HH told me...dont know the truth...will be able to comment on this later.

                        • 22,000kms report of my cbz extreme :

All happened when i started looking for an upgrade from my hh passion which had served me 75k kms, just saw the ad and booked the bike call me crazy (i am) since it was booked in my home town i had no choice coz here for the fancy reg numbers there were crazy quotes going on, so booked the black intailly wanted a silver but didn't get due to no stock, rode it down all the way to bangalore 300+kms runnin ride, what a change ! for me after riding passion for around 3 years this bike was huge and getting used to toe shifter was little diffucult finally managed and what a ride it was

An old snap of the bike

Ignore the sticker work on the mask

Clocked 700 kms in a weeks time and gave the bike for its first service Max motors in rajkumar road, pathetic service there was always a mishift b/w 4th and 5th after the service, went back saying this the crap you have done nobody is bothered to listen finally shot a mail to the delhi office the next day a lady called from delhi office and told me that one mr venkat will call me (he was the SC head for bangalore at that time) very nice gentleman very calm very patient he asked me to come to max motors coz that was the nearest one to my office took a long 15km TD and he came back and agreed there is a problem, they changed the pressure plates and replaaced the rear shocks in warranty, and venkat stood there untill it was fixed accordingly by the time work was done it was 7pm told me take long test drive at all sppeds and give a feed back, i took the new airport road and came back and therewas no mishifts and gears were butter smooth. sticked on to nikhi after this good result annd was giving it to service there till 10k. after 10k yours truly turned into one ..

After the GS betta trip in may 08 i started loosing confidence in stock tyres especially in wet conditions lot of fish tailing, so deiceed to change both the tyres bought a M-45 (3.00x18) and sirac 120/80x18 had these tyres for one weak heavy drop in mileage and pick up and the front end was much heavier than before, so ditched them to a Rd owner, and got IRC's 2.75x18 and 100/90x18 must awesome set of rubber wet dry awesome grip and absolutely no fishtailing have done about 12k kms till now and the thread wear out is about 50% which is actually more but what the heck, i can sacrifice low life for the best grip,

Bike with the M-45 and TRACTOR tyres

A classic shot courtesy Rohith aka Speed pujari ..

Apart from minor parts changed, the bike has not given me any engine or craburettor problems till date, and touch wood one one puncture till date

                          Some latest snaps

Have some internal pics of carb will post tommorow..

                          Bye yaaawn

Pressure plates and shocks requiring replacement at 1st free service?? Sounds real fishy to me...
