    • Okay...so I got a New colour!

The bike will (should) get registered tomorrow...then, well... I am not riding it till I get confident...
Actually, been riding an ungeared scoot (Kinetic Zing 80) for the last 4 years, and my brain mapping has to change to the geared variety now. Have ridden the bike(Hunk), mostly at night, in very light traffic so not very confident as of now...dont want to damage anything...

      • Achiever...going cheap

        Hey guys,
When I was buying my bike, the dealer told me about some Achievers (6 bikes, yellow and silver) lying around with him. He was asking for an ORP of 48K. 2007 production vehicles. No Disk, self start...
        Pratham Motors, Wakdewadi Pune...
He was willing to give the regular warranty and the free services...

TOTAL PAISA WASOOOOL !! Achiever simply ROCKS !! FYI, I got 3 yr/40,000 kms warranty, 6 free svc in Ist year !!! Please do bargain !!! Good luck, and I strongly recommend this bike !!

              • Any one tried NGK G-Power on Xtreme? I guess it requires little tuning after fixing on to the bike.

I got it on my bike, But tuning is nessecary. MAy be better fuel inflow along with air.

A spark plug requires tuning, eh? Why would be that?

I am not sure, But I felt my bike chokes at certain RPM when using the NGK G-Power (Xtreme doesnt have Iridium), Where as on stock plug it does very good all the way to redline without hickup.

let me try and tell you once i fiddile to AF mixture.

Does both the plugs have the same heat rating?

Please don't adjust the sparkplug gap Riaz. These special plugs-Iridium IX/GPower Platinum get fouled if you adjust the gap on them.

Nope, I never do that. I just clean them and place it back.

Yes and no my head leak issue is fixed i think the mech. @ SC changed the gasket and some oil seals now the head looks clean. This one was done @ a big SC in kancheepuram and the mech agreed to change whatever oil i bring with me but he suggested the CAStrol crap thinks its the best oil in the whole world(idiot). These guys had the feeler gaugeand the mech used the thin metal strips for adjusting the gap.I fiddled with the air screw now the RPM is touching 1900 so i reduced it to 1500 .

Hmmm... actually you can adjust them, the issue is that its just safer not to do so...

The thing is, adjust only if you have feeler gauge. Else, you are better of leaving it as it is!
