rs.200/- .. just check the labels before buying .. it's made in u.s.a ..imported by pidilite industries

it might harm if done the wrong way .. if done the right way it will actually clean up the engine .. if u wish to flush the engine .. let the engine warm up and then remove about half a liter of oil and then add the flush and turn on the engine and let it idle for 3-5 mins .. do not raise the engine at any cost .. it will do more damage than benefit if throttle is given .. then drain out the entire oil ... ensure that no flush is left .. and then add the new oil .. flushing is usually advised when shifting from mineral to synthetic oil

flushing at such frequent intervals is usually not required unless u r using some alternate fuel in place of petrol :P

on a serious note .. why are you flushing so frequently ? i don't think it is needed

ur bike is too new for flushing .. i wont advice flushing now itself unless u wish to shift to synthetic oil .. if u want to switch over to synthetic oil, then go ahead ..i've mentioned the process above

Oh okay, can you suggest when should it be done, cause i mostly ride in heavy traffic and dusty conditions
Ps-currently using petronas sprinta full synthetic, drain it after 6000km.

i'm not very sure about it but i guess just once during oil change would do ...as you've already done it .. u can forget about it for the next 20-25k km .. i'm not very sure though .. flushing is only done to remove some residues if any and during oil change and i'm sure the engines' are designed to take a lot of beating .. so i don't think u would require it in the near future

what noticeable difference have you found after shifting to petronas sprinta ?

Bikes have to be broken in, at least the ones we have here, and most definitely a HH Hunk/CBZ X .. So we gotta stick to mineral oil for break in and shift to synthetic later.

                    • ^^yep i switched to synth after 5000Kms.My ? is why not 3000Kms if we switched to synth @ 3K will it harm the engine. But i wish i used motul the first time instead of the castrol crap the smoothness that i feel with motul on lower RPM does not vanish in higher RPM.The first time i used motul it felt like i was using a thicker oil but now it feels like i am running on any 10W 30 oil.May be my engine is getting used to motul.

Get the 10W 40 Motul with your eyes closed.5W 40 doest not last that much.If you get the 5W 40 remember to drain it after 3500Kms.

My bike is fine exept for the tappet issue. All the problem's i faced with the bike can be traced back directly to the SC(sadist center) people. If you take your bike to SC your HONDA will become a BONDA.Nope i am not in vellore but i have some contact's their. But i do visit the Golden temple in sripuram.
