Do you ever notice that when you're driving, anyone going slower than you is an idiot and everyone driving faster than you is a maniac ?

,if yes then theres no need to clean the carb at every 2000km.

Carb cleaning is not required (as the fuel quality as a whole has improved by leaps and bounds compared to decade back), there's a drain screw which can be opened up to drain out 'heavier impurities that might have entered into carb incl. water'.
The CBZ guys do it as a process as it is part of their check-sheet, HH doesn't touch carb during svc., they touch that idling screw for tuning purpose, which is more than enough. Cleaning and assembling back intricate parts is very risky, small errors can result in many carb related issues (rich/lean running, mileage drops etc etc)

Hello Everyone,
After running 5.5K Kms in my bike (hunk) on stock oil (HH 4T PLUS-SAE 10W 30), i have now shifted to GULF PRIDE 4T PLUS SAE 20W 40 JASO MA2. I could see a great difference in the few KMs of run. The vibes in 65 to 75kmph range have seem to have subsided upto small extent. It is revving very smoothly compared to Idemitsu oil!!
But the pick up has reduced and i am able to notice it very well
Dunno if i can use SAE 20W 40 in the long run

As far as i know you should not be using that grade on your bike .. our bike's grade is 10w30 . . so the alternate grades that can be used are 10w40 or in rare cases 5w40 ..guys..if you ever need blood or want to donate blood, please refer to this site :

I have been using Petronas Sprina 10W40 on my Xtreme..done almsot 120kms on it till now. Not much of difference but there is little improvement in smoothness at higher RPMs.gear shift is better, just needs a touch.
Mileage needs to be checked. BTW..sprinta is fully synthetic2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2008 - Yamaha YZF R15
2009 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme
2013 - KTM 390 Duke
2017 - Yamaha FZ25

.
I still feel cost wise and quality wise HH4T is safe choice ?
Then I will Shift to 10W 30 Grade
. I got this because i couldnt find a 10 or 15W 40 in my locality
.Not Even at Castrol dealer. Many told these grades were for cars and not for bikes
.When i checked the thread i found castrol power one is available in 15W 40 also
.On asking the castrol dealer the guy gave me 2 castrol power one bottes, one had a SAE 10W 30 JASO MA grade but the other one had no SAE grade but just API SL JASO MA2
.The 10W 30 was around 290 printed price and the second bottle had 305 printed price. I coudnt choose any one!!
Any ways can i stay on this for say 2 weeks
as its just 4 days i have shifted to this one
. Later i will shift to recommended grade.

Do not use that CP1R i used it for like 5000Kms and changed to Motul 300V 10W 40 and i ****ing love this oil.Cp1R is not a true synthetic oil.Motul is a double ester fully synthetic oil that will out perform CP1R CRAP anytimeOriginally posted by Bharadwaj_D View PostThen I will Shift to 10W 30 Grade

Once i had given the bike to SC they poured in some cow piss oil in ma bike and the oil turned bad in 300Kms and the bike was not performing well so i have to change it immediately to shell 20W 40(I was on a tour
).What a diff. i felt initially but the bike wont go past 100Km/hr.It would struggle from 90-100.Xbhpian's here scared me to change the oil ASAP so i am sticking to XW 40 now
.
