Please read my previous post, don't get annoyed for small things, let an authorised dealer decide if it's worth opening up or not, never suggest/force people to open up for tappt set-up, factory set-up is the best set-up and getting it right is very difficult....Originally posted by Bharadwaj_D View Post

Thanks for the wishes, we were there till 8.00PM, We were standing opposite, you might have observed a Yellow R15 there.Originally posted by kaka View Postdo we get any particular companies' paint for this ? or will the regular enamel paint from say asian paints do ? ?
and riaz bhai any idea if we can get a black thing on the silencer in place of the silver one ?
also Eid Mubarak in advance ..and yesterday i happened to come to sarvi at 745 .. sorry couldn't make it at 630 .. did u ppl leave by 730 or so ?
Black silencer sheild does not look good to say honestly on Xtreme, And getting a proper paint on it is difficutlt else you have to find good painter, they will do that job.

Dont touch your bike buddy if you re not sure of what you re doing . I am sorry if it may offend you but I just dont want you to be in trouble .
Idling setting at 3000 + rpm is not good at all . Better take it to the SC guys.
best of luck
Do not touch the engine unless you have proper apparatus, simple improper idling can lead to mis-tuning of the bike and it does not perform optimally.
Tappets, get them at service center only, it needs precision tools.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Noise because the tank is low on petrol?!Originally posted by vipin_s View PostOn my first free svc of my achiever, I came across a 'knowledgeable' engineer, he was explaining to the mechanic that there is "tappet noise" on his brand new Zma (2K kms done).....supervisor listened to noise carefully by hovering his ears in b/w tank and engine, he raised accelerator thrice and finally concluded it's noise (kind of buzzing) due to less petrol in the tank....half an hour later the guy came back with big smile and said "THANKS, there no noise now" !! Moral of the story is knowledge can sometimes be dangerous

If you hear feeble tappet noise, be happy that those things are doing their job !!
Now what can possibly cause that? Not sure if it makes sense to me...
Yes, most HHs and Hondas seem to come with the tappets very well set at the factory... and it shuld not require re setting for a long time. Though its possible that it may not be correctly set in v few bikes.... depends on your luck. As I said before - do whatever it takes to keep the mechanics from messing with it. Most of them will never be able to set it just right after it is messed up. In fact our wonderful mechanics/service centers are incapable of doing ANYTHING comparable to the factory standards.Last edited by Raccoon; 09-21-2009, 04:00 PM.

How much did you pay for the M45Originally posted by riazmomin View Posthow about paint???
Front tire changed to Michelene M45, As Dunlop tire in front was defective. Nice tire with excellent grip and improved barking.

[QUOTE]
Well it's a kind of buzzing sound, petrol depth is shallow in the tank when there is less petrol and tiny vibrations can cause ripples/sloshing and hence kind of buzzing sound....it used to happen on rpms higher than 6K, at idle speed the zma was silent just plain engine sound !!

I did a silly mistake today, The sticker that is on tank was fiddlied by children, and it was looking ugly, so i removed it, but that stikcy part was still on, So i tied a very small piece of cloth to a small stick and dipped in the tank, but that cloth fell down into the tank

. I think there wont be any problem, but still is ther any way to remove that cloth.
if we see in Xtreme's tank, we cant see complete open tank.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

^^^ Riaz, take that cloth out ASAP. Open up the tank and turn it upside down.
The cloth can disintegrate into fibers and even small fragments due to the petrol and can block your fuel pipe. This is a very small thing. You should be glad if they stop at the fuel pipe!

^^+1 if that cloth pieces get stuck in your emulsion tube, you are in for a

But the tank design is quite different, Tank is not hollow, There some kind of metal sheet near the filling hole which may not allow the cloth to come out.Originally posted by psycho 98 View Post^^+1 if that cloth pieces get stuck in your emulsion tube, you are in for a

ohk .. sure i'll be there ... and before that cloth clogs the passage remove it or get it removed .. take a flexible small hose pipe or a slightly big spring(stretch it ) and put it inside the tank and move it slowly .. u might be able to pull the cloth out ..guys..if you ever need blood or want to donate blood, please refer to this site :

anna...if you find it difficult to remove the cloth then remove the tank go to an open place and light a match stick and drop it inside the tank and run. the cloth will burn into ashes. Pour somemoe petrol and then drain it.
u probably can get a better result if u close the tank after you put the match stick inside.
Thank me when your problem is solved
