    Hi All,

My bike still have vibration problems heavily from 40 to 65, which i feel that bike is not moving freely. Also morning when i start my bike it shuts off immediately, i need to raise the throttle and run for some hundred meters after which bike become normal, also the sound it gives when i start in the morning feels like engine is crying. I m attaching some pics of engine, it has some white parts, i dono what is that, please clarify me whether i need to do anything for it.

Also is there any DIY for cleaning engine (Atleast external parts) and also like to know how to avoid rusting

Hunk is just for a change. It has comparatively less aggressive riding position making it more comfortable and good for touring.
But still those vibrations will be present which you want to avoid. You have Honda as another option which will much smooth and refined.

May be you are running slightly lean. Such tuning is good for summer or to give more kmpl.
Turning afr anticlockwise slightly (1/8 ) will be optimal afr for such verycold season.
That white layer might be due to atmosphere. The fins are roughly matt finished and so it often appears.

There is a thud sound from rear suspension with pillion on bad roads. In first service, they adjusted the bolts and thud sound disappears and now this sound again appears.

                    Hi Guys,

Wish you all a very Happy Pongal.

I need your help guys. I had given my bike Xterme for 4th service in Hareena motors, chennai. I have gave it especially to completely check about the hard acceleration found in 3rd ,4th and 5th gear.
They kept my bike for 1 week, and then one day they called me and said they have changed Engine bearings, now Bike should run Fine. As Sibun and Shoeb already suggested to me , i asked them to check for Engine tappet settings, Chain tightest link setting, asked them to top up the oil, also told them to clean carb and slow jet. Also told them to do carb tuning.
I told all these because that mechanic was very friendly and i believed him to do the job well.

After i got my bike , i found that my bike pick up was too good and was moving freely. But my happiness didnt last too much as again i got the same hard acceleration problems. Due to that vibration problems were also there. To add salt to this wound, bike didnt even starts in the morning, i need to raise full throttle with choke. Thing is that this problem is not there everytime. Now i have called this mechanic, and he have assured me that he will fix all these issues. I have told him that i will be with him when he does that.

Guys please help me what are the points i need to take care when i take it to him next him.

Get the bolts of silencer, suspension and rear axle checked. Also check the chain tension. A loose chain will feel the same as a thus when negotiating potholes. Also try to locate from where the sound is exactly coming from. Else take it to service center and tell them to do it in front of you so that next time it happens you can yourself check what is loose.

Yes we can fit but it will be very expansive and will require opening of engine. There is no need as self start is enough. Some points to remember is always at every service at 2k take care to clean the terminals of battery and also the terminals at relay with emery paper. Since this terminals are made of aluminum they gets a layer of oxide. These oxide causes the battery to not charge properly and also while cranking the engine the relay will click but enough current will not flow which will cause the motor not to rotate.Regular cleaning of terminals at relay and battery will cause any problem in self to be not there.

Yes, it is a battery issue, but i would first advice you to clean the terminals at battery and at relay using emery paper before doing any other thing. The aluminum cause aluminum oxide which doesn't allow high ampere to flow and thus dims the light while cranking self motor.

I would advice to get the bike checked from same mechanic and also give him a hint while talking to him that if you are satisfied with the work you will reward him.Always try to be friendly and give him some tips. Better than tips if he has some habit like chewing pan or smoking then give him the same and believe me he will take more interest in work.Do all the work in your presence and post here, if something is not correct then i will reply.

Yes i have already noticed and i am a member also, but i do not post there much as i like to post here as there are more bike owners active here and xbhp is the best when coming to bikes forum.Anyways have a look there as some news may be available there and as they say everywhere there is something to learn, so see if there is something to learn from HMC forum. I am already a member.

                            • I wont be buying this

Hi friends there is a slight change in the bike selection acctually now I am going in for Pulsar 180 ug5 blue and black color reason:

The hero people are not been able to provide me with a silver and a manufacturing year of 2014 on the vehicle I am not interested in red or black color.

Hence I have dropped the idea of this product sorry I wont be seen on this thread well and also sorry to those friends who were looking out for a review from my side as I was having a unicorn prior to this bike.

Anyways at the end of the day it was nice to meet u all be in touch at the end as we say

Hello fellow BHPians. Visiting this forum after long time. My ownership report till date.
                                Oil change Intervals
                                1st at 255 kms, 2nd at 1st service around 550 kms & 3rd recently after completed 1000 kms.
                                Mileage:
When checked very 1st time reserve to reserve=35 Km/ltr. Bike was around 130 kms on ODO that time.
                                2nd time, 500 Rs. of petrol= 43 km/Ltr
3rd time, 500 Rs. of petrol (Filled in early morning)=47.85 km/Ltr
Recent check on 300 Rs of Petrol (Filled at evening) =41 km/Ltr
Overall quit good considering fact that I ride in city only. On highways figures might be on higher side.
I am having some doubts about my ride.
Whenever I ride around 40-50 km/hr speed, it shows some immense vibrations. This vibrations were low before oil change, but after oil change they are on higher side. Is it normal & should i worry as my ride is still in run in period or let her give some more kms to open up engine?
Also I am planning for 650kms+ solo ride trip on next month after completing 1500 kms. I am having few questions. What should i avoid during solo trip? Up to what rpm should I ride? Any other suggestions. Also I had completed 1000 kms, should i ride her below 4000 rpm till 1500 kms/run in periods completes or go above 4000 rpm?
