    Clean both the jets.
I hope you are comfortable with this.
    Done the job?

I cleaned all of them, only 2 are removable.
Btw I damaged the main jet a little
    Will check if it affects.
    Are those jets available loose?

The main jet if damaged at the head should not affect the performance because the holes of jet might be still good if kept clean.
Btw the jet is easily available in loose but it might be expensive and always buy original.

          Yesterday I cleaned my carb.
After fitting back I set idle to 3ooo
Turned afr anti clockwise, rpm raised and then began to fall.
          Ithen turned .5 clockwise.
Now after a short ride I experienced much difference
          That vib at 60 disappeared.
          A little more power.
          I don't know what I did.
I turned it rich or lean.
Any way I love my ride and +1 for diy

Guys, a very bad & misfortune thing happened with me today.
One 17yr old boy smashed my jaan (Xtreme) from front. Actually i was about take turn while entering in one small lane & he came with such high speed on his bike. He smashed so badly, it torned my front fendor, visor & slight scratch below headlamp. We headed to service center directly. Guy there claimed repair cost would be approx. 3500 Rs. But he told me that there some play in front suspension fork that need to be clear. I am worried weather opening all front suspension assembly would make any bad effect on my bike as my jaan is just 1 week old. Tell me guys, its really bad feeling & m crying like small boy. Cant see her in such situation.
            Help me guys..

Bro, m worried because my ride is just 1 week old & she`s not even registered & then this bad thing happened.
It touched me so deeply & badly, that i cant even concentrate on my office. Because of one fool guy, my ride got damaged.
I am in big emotional dilemma. Its my first bike. I know, i am behaving little weird but it hurt me very badly.
The guy at service center told me that he will remove play in fork by doing slight press work at lathe machine or something. The folks at service center does`t seems to be that much professional so that i could leave my ride at there place n have peace of mind.
My question is how such kinda of work will effect my ride, they will remove all front assembly & all.
                Guys please help me.
Sorry again for my weird behavior, but i am really seeking for help n support from u guys..

                  Hi All,

I was advised to change the engine oil of my Xtreme from bottled oil only and avoiding the barrel oil at the SC's, but I am having this situation, the engine oil (10W30) which I am getting is 900 ml . Is it suffice for the engine?

Bro never use barrel oil in any case, only use bottled recommended oil by Hero and its 900ml all the time in all packaging .....

Thanks a lot bud! The SC guys try and push around saying that the warranty will be null and void if you don't change the oil with our barrel oil (and yeah not to forget they even say that 900 ml of HH's bottle is less for your engine). On checking with the retail outlets I found the HH's 10W30 which I found out to be 900 ml, with my doubts cleared I can happily go ahead with that now. Also one more thing I have done around 4k on odo, for how long do I need to use 10W30 and what oil to switch to afterwards?

Wonder how a service center guy can suggest you to pour loose barrel oil, complaint against him to manager or in hero and 10W30 is recommended by hero for Hunk, its a grade (thickness) for this engine and I think you don't need to change the engine oil grade generally, specially your bike is new don't change the oil grade....

I want to buy an Xtreme. After lot of analysis, I have decided to buy the Xtreme.
                          BUT, the question is:
whether I should wait for the 2014 upgraded Xtreme (Hero's own newly developed engine)
                          OR
hurry and buy the 2013 Xtreme that has the Honda Unicorn engine.

                          Please suggest.

in our manual hero honda shows the image of bottled oil and mentioned only fill 900ml.
then how can a ASC says warenty will be void if BARREL oil is not used.
I know ASC which uses only bottled oil. on oil change they will charge the mrp of the bottled oil.
if you change oil of other grade or brand which comes usually in 1l bottle be sure to check the oil level after pouring 900ml

you can switch to 10w30 any brand any time. lately I am using veedol take off whch I think is good in its price range
Its not recommended to change the oil grade but I like 20W40 of Castrol (vib 50kmph diappears).

                            ---------------------------------------------------------

Is there any 10w40 out there? I think its best for our ride

10w40 is not available in mineral coz basically 20w40 and 10w40 is the same, if you want that grade then its available in SS oils.
