re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
I think you can try with new Xtreme, it has come with very few clever features.....And I done think so that hero is gonna discontinue the Hunk....Originally posted by AmanZ View PostHey fellas!
Has there been any news that Hero Hunk is going to discontinue.
because i have booked Hero Hunk and all of a sudden waiting on the bike has started and the dealer started giving excuses like bike is not in production, i am hardly getting any stock.
will update you soon.
I even did an inquiry at other dealers too and they said that the bike has waiting for at least 25 days.
do let me know the update soon guys. i have almost made the full payment. just kept 5k as outstanding which i will give him at the time of delivery.
If its really going to discontinue i would better go for Honda Unicorn or Yamaha FZ.
I am ready to wait but it should not happen that i buy the bike and it gets discontinued and no spare part availability. that would really really hurt.
Thanks
Cheers!

If the xtreme is launching before or on diwali then i would go for it.. or else not..Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostNew xtreme has loads of new features like engine immobilizer and side stand switch for engine kill, since its a new bike might have improved performance and FE too.

Brother here you will get said because as I heard hero is not gonna sell their recently shocased model before Diwali, But I think they have to at least start selling one new product for Diwali, As rumor I heard they start selling new Karizma after the auto expo 2014....Originally posted by AmanZ View PostThat is a relief to hear..

Guys need your feed back today I have sifted from Castrol 4T plus to Gulf 4T plus 20W-40, have anybody using this engine oil, I am feeling my gear shift a bit harder side after changing the oil and If someone is using this oil how many KMS can be done, Its mentioned 10000 KMS on the pack...IMO I cant believe...

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Its a very good oil, let it set for a few km the shifts will become smoother. And its a mineral oil don't follow the drain interval mentioned on the pack, replace the oil every 2000 km or at the max change it at 2500km.Originally posted by itsmevini123 View PostBrother here you will get said because as I heard hero is not gonna sell their recently shocased model before Diwali, But I think they have to at least start selling one new product for Diwali, As rumor I heard they start selling new Karizma after the auto expo 2014....

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Man you are using wrong grade of oil , 20W40 is almost double thick than OE . It will cause temporary benefit but in long run more damage. If you can, return the oil and get Gulf Pride 10w30 or Veedol Take off premium 10W30, i have been using it for 2000km so far and find it very good, it is best substitute for oe oil.Guys need your feed back today I have sifted from Castrol 4T plus to Gulf 4T plus 20W-40, have anybody using this engine oil, I am feeling my gear shift a bit harder side after changing the oil and If someone is using this oil how many KMS can be done, Its mentioned 10000 KMS on the pack...IMO I cant believe...
The bike`s engine is made to run 10W30 , using 20W40 or other thick grade will affect its performance, this performance lag is felt in revving and cold starts. Let it put it this way , a man can lift a sack and run for 2 km , if he carries more weight he will run but will get tired easily. So point here is using 20W40 wont blast your engine but will have some or other ill effect on it . Use 10W30 feel the revviness and punch of hunk/extreme engine for which it is famous for . i hope it helped

Hmmm, engine immobiliser will add to the cost of the bike won't it?Originally posted by AmanZ View PostThat is a relief to hear..

I honestly find the present CBZ more appealing. But hey, it's just my opinion. :P
Looks good. But how functional is it? What temperature is this?Originally posted by mohdatif1 View Post
Have you blackened the reflector?
UPDATE: My head is still leaking oil. Even after replacing the gasket in the last service, the problem still persists. Mechanic says that since the threads are stripped, the head cover isn't seated very well. Says he'll need to give it to a lathe and get it rethreaded.
My bike needs to be tuned again. Mileage has again dropped to around 40km to the liter. Also, when I use my headlight in lengthy stop-go traffic and then switch off the bike for some reason. When I try to start the bike, the tacho resets and the bike cranks once and that's it. I need to try again for it to start. To refresh your memory, I have converted to DC and run a 55/60W bulb. It's related, but doubt it's the sole cause.Hero Honda Hunk 2011, RC'ed, DC'ed, MC'ed! :P

Engine immobilizer shouldn't add to the price since the low cost mahindra centuro also has it.Originally posted by ashwin.terminator View PostHmmm, engine immobiliser will add to the cost of the bike won't it?
