There might be a difference in length of cable,so better to stick to OEM ones.

+1 to that. But the problem is... for the past five months he has been repeatedly going to three different svc's for it and still hasn't been able to get one. Fed up...now he is looking at alternatives

I went for a 550km ride yesterday, reached home just now.
My ride shown no problem at all, but just less than a km ago while reaching home, I stopped at my friend's home and
when I Started it I hear the motor sound.(different sound, less load)
engine not started, tried several time.

and I switched off it, shifted to neutral and started and opened throttle it started with out hesitation.

I heard a extra "tick" sound when started last 2~3 times on the way.

What could be the reason?
I fitted a mobile phone charger and it was on all time when riding, but it turns off when key is off.
last 550km ride, covered 75% on 80~85kmph

Get the complete cable set from CD DELUXE and fit, will fit without any problem. While fitting put few drop of engine oil on the inner cable to lubricate.

While you had switched off the engine would have stopped with exhaust valve open. So when you have started it again then since the exhaust valve is open bike has no compression, so feels like starter motor runs on no load. Also bike would not have started. By twisting the accelerator you had forced extra air and fuel which aided in startimg of engine. So nothing to worry.

Collect old in bottles and dispose off properly. avoid places near well, road....
Tips :
• Clean the drain bolt area with kerosene to avoid dirt and sad getting in between drain bolt.
• Do it when the engine is cool,
• Run the engine for ~30sec before draining the oil.
• Do not over tight the drain bolt.
• Use a new washer if the oil is leaking after change.

Enjoy a Ride

Isn't this a mineral oil? If yes, drain at 2k kms.

You can do bulb change yourself easily, does the new bulb have 2 pointed wires coming out ?? . You can open headlamp easily at home , you need #10 open, ring or T spanner, i use T spanner . Below headlight you will find it is bolted by two #10 bolts on either side. Remove them and take caution to hold the headlight , Next you need to lift it a bit to remove it frm bike , carefully remove connectors ( never pull by wires ) , Then there is a single black cover which has pilot lamp inside , remove it and you will have access to pilot lamp. Swap and reassemble , Just when you are tightening #10 bolts , there is a mark on which shows OE levelling of headlamp , so keep that in mind else you will have bad light throw , i.e too high or too low.

Else mech will do it easily , not the svc ones and will cost you about 20-30rs
Generally svc guys dont bother to do such things as it is extra work for them
Today i successfully installed LED as pilot lamp, i am thankful to RohIIT and all friends for nice explanation, and yes RohIIT the new bulb have 2 pointed wires coming out , its T10 LED.
But my bike chain is very tight and it has tight spot when rotating manually, and while driving it feels like misaligned, can anyone explain the process, how to correct it as a DIY??

Ok that oil you have shown is both good and bad. Good is that it is a good oil and is highly refined mineral oil. It is of 20W 40 oil and is good in that grade.Bad is that this oil is not for extreme/hunk as hunk likes 10W 30 oil. With this oil the engine will feel lazy and will cause decrease in both pick up and mileage. So my advice is to change that oil from where you have bought with GULF 10W 30 or VEEDOL 10W 30 4T premium. Veedol 10W 30 is an excellent oil and this is the third time in a row that i am using this oil.For veedol 10W 30 you can see the pictures posted by abhisheklalnediya.Yes, UNICORN/EXTREME clutch plates are same and you can use any of them, provided it is original abhisheklalnediya- How does the bike feel with VEEDOL 10W 30 4T PREMIUM.

Has anyone here used Honda's 10W30 full synthetic oil ? They recommend and use this oil in CBR 250 and CBR 150 . Any pointers ? My bike is due for an oil change . Will switch back from Shell 10W40 semi synth to 10W30 Full synth . Any inputs will be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Try cleaning and lubing the chain, it might help in getting rid of the tight spots.
Check the below link, DIY from Sibun.

If this doesn't help, your chain and sprockets might need to be changed.
How many km's you've done so far on the current chain/sprockets?
