^^ I am also looking for a tyre change from the existing Zapper Y on my Hunk to Ceat Zoom/Vertigo 100/90-18" profile (tubeless). The existing Zapper Y has lots of kms left and the tread is also deep enough but I am changing it due to a loooong ride coming up.
Here in Jamshedpur, Vertigo (TL) is available that too only in one shop, otherwise CEAT tubeless tyres are nowhere to be found here at least for now. Zapper Q is still not available in TL AFAIK.

then its great.will have more option soon.

              ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Then as a general clarification. most people says michilline sirac street is the best tyre for most bikes. but AFAIK, block type thread pattern will have rolling resistance and hence a little drop in performance and also the mileage will be less. on the other hand, zapper like design will have less rolling resistance and better in wet condition and will give better mileage. in general, block pattern for off road, water channeling patter is for wet/normal road. am i rightt? correct me if iam wrong.

infact, tyre selection is mostly based on the surface in which is going to run often.

hi.i have a little question.does our starter motor pinion always keeps engaged to the flywheel if yes, then does our ride make it rotate since the flywheel temps to rotate when we ride our bike coz in hero honda ( CBZ,Hunk,Glamour ) motorcycles, i can't see a starter motor solenoid anywhere around the starter motor which pushes the pinion to the flywheel as in cars.so i assume it always keeps engaged with the flywheel.can anybody kindly explain this i haven't had any chance to take a closer look to a disassembled hero honda engine.thank you.

                    Hi guys
Its been more than 6 months since purchase & 2960 kms on odo, my bike is running fine. From last 2 weeks I was facing some weird problem. My was not starting when i kept her standed for more than 2 days. It happened twice. Here in mumbai climate is quit hot & still faced problem in bike start. I tried kick & electric starter but it took some good 15 mins to bring her live. Today i went to ASC & asked supervisor about this problem. And what he did was increased RPM to some 4000-5500 RPM & then adjusted some screw at opposite side of bike, left side of bike. He rotated that screw left to right & vice versa for some 1-2 turns When i asked that did u messed with Card screw, he said no i adjusted RPM of bike & i was like. because he did it with screw driver. Now my concern is did he messed with carb..? Is there screw to adjust RPM of bike from left side & how adjusting RPM is linked to bike start problem in morning..? If he messed with Carb, how i can check it..? I havn`t checked my bike mileage since last 4 tank fills...Do i need to adjust carb.
                    Kindly help me
                    Thanx in advance.

He has altered the AFR screw , yes by changing the afr you can change the character of entire bike , but tuning the carb is not a child's play, it requires lot of experience ask any one here , If now you are not facing any problems and mileage is more than 50kmpl then carb tune is probably fine. Notice how rpm needle falls when you rev to 6-7k in neutral, if it falls slowly then you are running lean . A poor top end speed means you are running rich

if yours is Hero Xtreme the afr would be between 1.5 to 2 turns out, this is a vague range as afr changes for each bike.

If you want to tune carb yourself , you can follow sibun's guide. I did that tune and it is still the same .
Carb Tuning made easy (Thanks Sibun !)

that screw is more sensitivem for any bike. i suggest you to check the mileage and the performance behavior of your bike immediately. if you find any issues, take it to them immediately for stock reset.

                        • Threads on engine side are gone..

Guys i have a cbz xtreme 2011 model yesterday i noticed few drops of oil under my bike. Tried to tight drain bolt but it was rotating freely. Visited asc and they said the threads on engine side are gone and need to replace the whole casting which costs 2.5k. Is there any other way to rectify this problem? I am from kollam, kerala. Please suggest me a good mechanic who can do this work..
