Hello Guys,

Anyone has installed Under seat mobile charging dock ? How much does it cost and anyone with a simple (wiring) diagram on how to install one?

Hi All,
Recently learnt that TVS manufactures Michelin tyres in India. So would it be good idea to still get Michelin Sirac Street for HH Hunk(Rear Tyre 100/90*18) or better go with MRF zappers. Which would be a better option in MRF, Zapper Q or Zapper Y or Zapper C or Mogrip tyres. Looking forward for zapper Q, but just want to know how good they are against punctures.?

Also will 110/90*18 Zapper Q(easily available than 100/90*18) be a direct fit on Hunk or it needs some modifications?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ashwhin.

Had a test drive of new Xtreme

When i looked the bike for first time, i was totally disappointed, it doesn't look like a 150 CC bike, looks like a 100 or 125 CC bike, mainly due to Tank. I don know what were designers thinking when they did Tank design. Total SHIT, though liked XTREME logo.
First thing which i like was the console, it was looking so good, except for Neutral light, Neutral light was almost invisible also so tiny. While riding the bike, console was clearly visible even in direct sunlight. When i had chance to go into a dark place, whole Console part and key holder were coloured with blue. I personally like it.

I was given with Black colour bike for test drive. While i started, i thought since i m using earlier version Xtreme it should not be feeling different, but it gave me a feeling of riding different bike, mainly due to the tank, sales person told me that this tank design is mainly for proper hold, but for my height (5 11) i cant place my leg properly, there was a gap between my thigh and tank, which made a uncomfortable feel.

But once i start to rode, even though it has same engine, pick up was awesome, i felt the grunt which sibun always mention and which i miss in my bike. Moreover it was super smooth. I went until 35 in 2nd, 50 in 3rd, 70 in 4th ( I thought sales man will ask me to reduce the speed since it was brand new bike, but he didn't ), power is felt among all gears, and was smooth. Little wider rear Tyre gives confidence driving and cornering.
While sitting as a pillon, new grab rail was helping , also it was comfortable.
Engine cut off upon engaging side stand was working perfectly. Engine Immobilizer is again a good option.

If and Only if tank design was proper, i would have opted for exchange

A member here, SatSon uses a 120 section rear tyre. He says the tyre rubs the lower chain case and sometimes hits the mudguard when riding with a pillion. And going by that, I'd say the 110 probably won't be a problem. Don't take my word for it, that's just my opinion. There must be someone with a better idea.

That calls for some technical inputs for the other members here ashwin!

All the information is given here:

What updates since then, well, not much. I got the mod done close to 21 months ago. And the battery was changed a few weeks ago. So rest assured that the battery was charging properly.

And about the process, I sincerely do not know. I just made sure I went to a guy who was well known for the same work around here. Haven't got the Engine Kill Switch fitted though. And at this point, have given up that idea in favour of spring loaded footrests. :P

Any pointers on the spring loaded footrests, people? :P FZ ones will fit?

Ok Thanks....will go through it.

Some of you might remember that some threads back I had mentioned that I got my relay changed under warranty. It has been almost 7-8 months since the change. Recently, I have been facing a similar issue if not such chronic when I got the relay changed. Issue - When I thumb the starter for the first time, there is no starting sound as such. However, this is not happening every time I have to start the bike. It is intermittent. Signals a relay gone kaput again?
I really doubt if relays are so prone to frequent malfunctioning. Or is there some electrical fault that is causing this?

Any inputs guys? sibun shoeb? paul.1911?

I also don't like the tank design, basically its not looking good with that seat length, problem is not tank size, its looking bad with that long seat combination, other wise small tank design like Apache looks good to me, I think hero can reduce the wheel base an even the length of the complete bike, which will save the wait and will make it flick-able..

This problem is somehow persistent in every extreme sibun had told even if we take care opening or tightening it , it will stip thread someday as it is aluminium, so first option would be insert a strip of pan masala can and try tightening, i used same technique to tighten a bolt in splendor ,works perfect

Better option would be get a brass bush inserted in head , that way the bolt cannot stip brass threads and will give proper lock to head cover , mine also leaks oil but its negligible amount.

Jith in bro...get the gasket changed for the head cover. DO NOT overtighten the bolt. Instead of making a seal, the threads will slip and then as mentioned by rohiit...you will have a difficult time.

Rohiit bro.....any inputs on the relay issue?

Yes, I had Zapper Q 120/80 before, had to remove it after riding for around 13k due to issues mentioned by ashwin.terminator.
I am using CEAT ZOOM 100/90 now, but after riding for 1k kms with it, I feel like Zapper Q was having slightly better grip.

I believe it would be safe to go for 110/80 Zapper Q.

I have also faced this issue, after just 1 or 2 times SVC guys tighten the head screw and it got free, then I had get removed complete head from cylinder and get it done new holes in the aluminium part, now its fine...
