I assume it has to do with the low numbers the Hunk sells in. The Xtreme on the other hand has been selling really well for Hero. Atleast that's the case here in Bangalore.

But yes, it could do with a push, atleast cosmetically if not mechanically. It's been the same for close to 3 and a half years now.

The two new feature mentioned on the website
        1. Under seat mobile charging dock and.
        2. Engine immobilizer.

Sounds interesting, have to see what will be the price of it.

Not sure why Hunk sells less, when Xtreme sells in good numbers.
Xtreme has some goodies like new alloys, split seats, split grab rail, clip-on handle etc and it is clear that Hero wants Xtreme to be having slightly better premium features.
Hunks are less in number here in Chennai as well.
But in Kerala Hunk sells in decent numbers.

The 110/90 tyre is a boon for Hunk/Xtreme/Karizma owners who want to retain the chain cover even after up-sizing.

P.S- I don't have any complaints with the stock tire though.

Jithin tik tik noise can be from various places , 12-13k is high time you change fork oil use escorts or veedol

Tik tik can be from loose coneset, tighten and see if that removes sound.

Check caliper mounting bolts if they are tight.

I am assuming that you takes her for servicing every after almost 2000 kms as I does, both rear & front brakes pads last long almost 5-6k kms depending upon on your daily bike usage, I would recommend you Nissin disc pads and for drum brake you can just install normal pads which authorized hero service center uses, apart from this I get align the alloys wheels after 10k kms and change spark plug & air filter apart from regular service tasks, check all the electrical and clutch accelerator wires, as your bike has completed 24k check shock absovers/forks for their proper play, check the brake fluid after every 5-6k kms, do not touch the carb if everything is going fine, check & feel the bike while going in10-15 kmph for any uneven vibs or sound that help you to prevent any sudden problem.

And yes one most important task I want to tell all my fellow bikers, you should check your first aid kit time to time whether medicines are in usable conditions or not, check their expiry dates, none of us want to use them but its very help full in a bad situation.

                            Ride safe...

If your bike came with NISSIN disc brakes, change them with NISSIN ones.
Make sure you're buying genuine ones. There are lots of duplicates of NISSIN's around, so beware
If yours is rear drum version, change to Splendor's front brake pads which have better bite.
Change spark plug and air filter if not changed in last 10k kms.
