    1. I am due to change my rear tyre and have shortlisted the following: CEAT Zoom/Vertigo or Dunlop Monster/Geo Cruiser in the profile 100/90-18 OR 110/90-18. You can check these.
    2. Veedol 10w40 Super Swift - go for it with eyes closed. Best oil for summers. Or 10w30 4T Super Premium also from Veedol.
    3. Lubricant for the chain - Best SAE90 Gear Oil. I have been using this as a lubricant for eternity and works like a charm. Always keep your chain clean and lubed. You'll be surprised how much performance improvement you can get by just keeping a clean and lubricated chain.
Completely agree to your point on drive chain. One more thing, always try to have correct slack.
Well lubed, adjusted and clean chain will give you a different feel altogether.

    Please get this checked.
I am using ANL pads for last 8k kms and has got nice bite. Costed me Rs.160 when purchased before one year
Mine is 2008 Hunk and doesn't have NISSIN brakes.
May be tusharxtreme's bike is new model that comes with NISSIN brakes?

First oil change at 500km don't go above 4k rpm in any gear, second oil change at 1500km and third at 3500km.

Put rubber seals with every screw, nut. Worked wonders on my bike.

hi hope u can remember i'm having a strange sound in my HH Glamour.i notice it specially when my bike is idling.my mechanic checked the tappets and they were bit loose according to him but not that enough to make such a sound.he said that it was the air suction valve unit which gives this strange sound.having said that i also noticed it it was confirmed since another Glamour bike was idling beside my bike and it only had a smooth sound (my engine also has that sound but additionally has this strange sound ) so he pulled out a hose and put some engine oil in it.the sound had been reduced for a little time.but that was a temporary treatment since the sound came again after returning to my home.below u can see the air suction valve unit.

                  here i recorded a video

so what should i do to get rid of this strange sound.please advise me.thank you very much.

Thanks a lot , that is a ncie idea , don't know why I didn't think about it earlier . I can change mineral oils are regular intervals to keep the engine smooth. Thanks !!! of course money matters , if I had lot of money to spend I would ve bought a super bike or at least a very high performance bike. No offence taken.

one thing is if you use other synthetic oil, the gasket in cylinder top may get corroded (atleast every 500 kms), due to blended ingredients. stock one is most suitable and will not have any issues.
How do you know about corrosion ? Is it just in xtreme and hunk engines or is it common for a lot of other bikes?

One more issue I would like to discuss , my front suspension seems very hard or is it bad potholes in Bangalore ? Every time I use the front brake , the handle vibrates and shudders a lot . What could have happened ? how to fix ? any help ?

When was last time you changed front fork oil ? how much on odo btw ? Change oil to veedol or Gulf only 155-160 ml per fork.Pump shocks 10-15 times before fitting top cap to eliminate air. Mine city's potholes are worst and is responsible for bent forks in my friend's 220. Also service front disc brakes and lube caliper pin with silicon grease. I am not sure but it seems front disc is bit bent , do one thing raise front end in air and slowly apply front brake , just lil bit so you can feel pads touching disc plate then ask someone to rotate wheel. By that bent plate can be roughly checked . Also check for coneset looseness or tightness. Both can create poor handling.

i faced gasket corrosion issue. i changed two gaskets in quick times. after that only i came to know this issue. for fully synthetic oil, separate gasket is required.

Coming to the handlebar vibration, if you feel shudders when you apply brake, then its because of disc brake. pad might have been worn-out. if you feel shudders during normal running condition, then inform ASC. this happened to me once while taking my bike from the service. A small continuous shake in the handle bar while running condition. but it got corrected by itself after few KMs.

Thanks. The ODO reading is 23720 Kms , and I changed the fork oil at 12kms when there was a leakage on the right fork. The disc pad and the disc seem fine without and bends. I will check after lubricating the said parts and inspecting the cone sets

Pad is relatively new , I inspected the pad it is fine for another 2-3K kms , as said in the above posts , it could be cone set issue. Will check and update .

A long pending update from my side:
Had this servicing (paid) 2 weeks back. Lack of time and some tools plus option of sitting/supervising the complete servicing is what I enjoy at my ASC. The clutch side was opened and completely cleaned with pressurized air+petrol and then dried with filtered pressurized air fully before replacing the gasket and putting on the cover. Chain they did not clean and lube because it was clean before  and they did not have SAE90 oil. I did it myself.
Now, this cleaning of the clutch side was mentioned as a separate item that too hand written on the service job card. When I confronted the ASC manager, he replied that this does not come under paid servicing. I was livid and angry to the extent that I immediately called up the Ranchi region service head and complained to him. That charge was promptly waived and the ASC manager was left quite embarrassed in front of his other customers who were cursing him (and praising me )

My mechanic told me that there is a 'engine-balancer' attached underneath the engine from the clutch side. Check the last pic for reference (taken ulta). I was confused because there was no such thing from the day I bought it. I am pretty sure about the 'absence' of the so-called engine balancer. He then showed my on a few Xtremes and a Karizma ZMA also!! Guys, what is that part? and how important is it?

Was he mentioning about kicker stopper, a small piece of rod mounted on the base, which will stop kicker on kick starting.

As far as i know there is no engine balancer in Extreme/ hunk. I think he is wrong as engine balancer should be inside the engine rotating in the opposite side of crank.

                                Updates on my bike:-

My bike has crossed 32k kms and is running fine. At 30k kms got the head cleaned and valves polished. Mileage is back to 50+ on high speeds. Also recently the choke got engaged and had to change the choke cable.

Also one fine afternoon it was quite hot at 2 pm( temp in excess of 44 degrees) i was returning to home and bike was mostly more than 7k rpm on the highway as the highway was deserted. After traveling for 95 kms like that suddenly the engine lost all power. The bike idles all right but on giving throttle engine will die. Called my mechanic and he thought bike has overheated and asked me to rest for 30 mins and then pour water on engine. So i rested for 30 mins and then poured water. Then went on without any problem.

Then i changed the engine oil to shell advance ultra 10W 40(FS) as it was quite hot then and also the spark plug. Then the next week while i was returning home the same problem and this time after resting for 5 mins i went on and no problem. Point to be noted was after resting bike would perform flawlessly and run like no problem.

This got me into thinking that overdrive had tested this bike non-stop for 24 hrs and no problem and this bike is overheating. Have to further investigate.

Then i began to put together the events and then i saw that both the problems happened after bike hit reserve. So this time knowingly put less fuel and on the way it hit reserve while returning. Then i stopped the pipe and pulled out the fuel pipe. There it is the problem was out. No fuel was flowing in reserve. Bl-owed air through the fuel pipe and the pipe was so blocked that i couldn't blow air. Filled fuel from nearby petrol pump and switched to main and came back.

Next day got the tank cleaned and bike is running excellent.
