re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
Its the plastic float hitting wall of tank , when fuel is low . Solution is to keep half tank or atleast 3-4L fuel in tank . Its not a big issue just fill in 3-4L more fuel it wont make noise.Originally posted by xtremecbz View Posthey bhpians
From past few days there is some continuous sound that comes from inside my xtremes fuel tank only when the fuel is low.
I think the sound is coming from the fuel gauge.
What should i do . please suggest. I referred this to a local mechanic but he says that the fuel tank cannot be opened

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
After a visit to the SVC, mileage has increased to 38. Still a lot of scope for improvement but I am looking for a few mods as well. Which horn can I use in place of the stock Hunk one? The present one is not loud enough and people barely notice it.

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
I would beg to differ here as Hunk has more upright sitting position than extreme. Also the footpegs are more rear set than hunk.Originally posted by giridhar View PostYes, you are doing it right, we should always look at the direction of the corner rather than looking ahead.
One small correction, Hunk does have similar seating position to CBZ, I got similar lean angle to what is shown in the pic, only difference is that I didn't hang out that much. Tyres are also a reason as you said
even with such little lean angle the front tyre didn't have any chicken stripes, which means that is the most I can get out of it.
I have ridden both bikes back to back and so know the difference. Keep both bikes and ride back to back and you will get it
This is just indicative picture. I have grinded the feeler bolts on the footpeg on the tarmac while cornering hard. Now cannot go so much lean as the tyre is starting to show its age. thinking of changing the tyres but have another thought of new ZMR. Mind is totally confused.Originally posted by dineshaugustin View PostSure. i will record and upload the same. thanks for your support.
Wooow. never seen this lean on Xtreme. Really practice makes difference.
Between any dual compound tyre is available for our bike.? eventhough we lean, we cannot avoid chicken strip since our is a single hard compound.

Even if you get more leaning angle, the speed would be another factor. say if Xtreme/Hunk can do a turn at 40kmph, then with the same lean angle R15 can do 50 or so and also the counter steering is better. this is due to the fact mono suspension, chassis and mass centralisation and low COG.
Do not compare it with R15 as that is a race thoroughbred and this is an everyday bike.
Yes you can and pretty soon you will get tired. Its because i have removed once and fitted it back as extreme makes a lot of noise when snorkel is removed. You will get bored if you frequently go above 5k rpm.Originally posted by Jith_in View PostIs it safe to remove snorkel from xtreme to get a roaring sound?

Thats the fuel gauge flapping against the tank. Happens in each bike that has float in it.Originally posted by xtremecbz View Posthey bhpians

re: CBZ xtreme / Hunk
So fitted the horn of the old Pulsar 180 and it is quite nice. People get out of the way now. Scheduled another visit to the ASC as they want to check the bike thoroughly for the cause of the mileage issue. Things might be looking up for the bike after all.
