Hello Friends..

Update
ODO reading 7500 kms. Did Mumbai-Pune-Karla caves-Pune-Mumbai ride with GF. Distance covered 450 Kms in a day.
Have some queries. Did your bike also vibrates post 70 km/Hr. Because GF complaining not to ride above 70 Km/hr. Later i also realized rear foot pegs & saree guard vibrating like hell. You guys also have same problems..?
Also today in the morning bike was not starting, applied choke, but RPM dint lowered after chok removed & bike was stalling every now & then. Went to ASC. Culprit was worn out choke cable. Both ends were worn out thats why the problem. Choke cable wont requires any lubrication as mech told me. Mech also did AFR tuning, i wish he tuned correctly. Raised RPM to 5000 rpm & then rotated screw.

Your bike is not habituated to run at high rpm and speed. Do some high speed runs and that vibration will subside.

My bike always runs at high rpm so is smooth till redline, and a advice use System G regularly and see difference.

Also tuning after making alright bike will be free and vibrate less.

Regarding saree guard , no i dont feel vibrations as i have removed it . One noticeable difference i found was after carb tune , tappet set and chain lubing was there is no or minimal vibrations from engine. Also check rear sprocket for lube and if possible apply grease in sprocket teeth , as sibun said run at high speeds and it will feel much better , i can second him as i felt bike rough in city usage and it revved slowly to 5K, after driving at 80-100 for half an hour , i could feel revving is much easier and easily hit rev limiter in 4th gear .

If you get system G let me know from where you bought as i also need one .

Guys what's the cost of the bolt that connect the gear lever & gear shaft. The bike fell of the stand & the gear lever came off with half the bolt. Any suggestions?
5-10rs max its a 8mm bolt , easily available at SVCs or hardware shops

Not sure about legality. But, you need to update it in the RC Book if you do.

I ran into a strange problem earlier this week.

I had parked my bike at office(Yes, college is over. Office now. ) for about 8 hours. Once I got out, I noticed a nice, open stretch of road. I did around 84kmph when the engine wasn't fully heated up. Immediately I could hear loud tappet noise. I thought it would go away as the ride continued, but it didn't.

Then I thought the noise would go away once the bike cooled down. But it still didn't!

2 days went by and the noise still persisted.

Then one day, I was again tempted by an open stretch of road. Engine was warmed up, did around 94kmph. Post which, the tappet noise went away! :O

I mean, what on earth just happened? :P

FE was around 48.5kmpl. This included 2 hours of riding in shin deep water. Terrible terrible rains here this week!

My bike clutch adjustment thread is about to end. mileage is about 4500, is that adjustment thread ok for that mileage.

(After 4500 kms its about to end what i expect at 10000 kms, may i have to change cable or clutch plate)

I adjust clutch adjustment myself.

Thanks Rohit, as my friend (who owns the CBZ) was riding some 150km aways from home, so he welded the bolt to its other half as a temporary solution.

Missed in update.

While coming back from pune, it was almost 7.00 p.m. It was 1st time that i was riding at night. Adjusted my headlamp as i felt beam throw was not proper after i refitted headlamp assembly. Kept screw position to the vertical mark(that is company`s default headlamp position marked on bracket). Touched 115 km/hr many times, but at one stretch, console showed weird behavior, high beam light started blinking with tik tik noise that happen when use pass light, also rpm meter back light also blinked so slowed down. Again did 115 but not happened this time. Is it normal..? SIBUN is it safe to ride bike at 115 km/hr continuously? I hardly ride at that spot for 5-10 secs. Max 20 secs
Also should i continue using shell oil or drain it? Its 1100 kms with this oil now, October heat is approaching here in Mumbai & bike feels smoother now, no roughness like i was facing earlier.

I do long rides once or twice in a month so riding at higher speed possible only at that time only. Else only city riding. Just a query, is it really worth to add System-G? It quite costly & read somewhere that fake one are also selling in market. Don`t want to get fooled..

Yes bro, even when i ride continuously at 6500+ rpm, bike feels smoother later & then if i ride below 6500 rpm i feel bike much smoother than at higher speed. Currently low on cash so will hunt for System-G & grab it once salary credits. Will surely let you know. Website mentions its available at all HP petrol pump. Will go to company operated petrol pump this weekend.

You have double disc or single. Mine is single(front only) n no screeching noise for me. For double disc its normal when ride at low speed. At higher speed its not audible as I heard it on many bikes i had ridden. From unicorn dazzler, pulsar 220 to Honda CBR 150/250.

Prathim. Its a single disc.. the disc pads are constantly rubbing against the disc. And it has also left marks on my disc plate.

Low speed noise in normal. Have you replaced pads with OEM one or any other? Wash it with some pressurized water as due to rain there might be chances of some debris stuck in between pad & disc. If possible remove that assembly (Just remove two nuts of assembly on forks) & do some greasing on pins, if pins are not properly greased there might be chances that pad not going back after lever released. Someone has already posted details DIY for disc break oil change, disc break overhaul. Refer it or go to ASC if your bike is new

Hi Friends,
I'll get the front forks of my xtreme serviced this weekend. Current ODO reads 42K.Need your opinion on following points.
1. I have never replaced the fork oil seal till now because they never leaked. Should I replace them this time or continue with the old one?

2. Fuel gauge is not working. It shows full reading while turning the ignition on but after that it remains on zero. Cleaned & refitted the connector located below tank, but issue still persists. Is this due to some wiring fault or weak battery.

3. Throttle has become bit hard. Cable is around 18K old. Should I lubricate the cable or replace it?

I'm not sure if the clutch cable ever reaches the end of its adjustment life. :O

Usually, both the locknuts together work in cohesion to help with the setting of the clutch lever play.

I could be wrong. :P But, I've never heard of anyone saying the clutch cable has reached the end of adjustment life :P

1. I suggest you replace them anyway. They aren't expensive to replace as well.

3. I thing lubing the cable should be enough. I haven't changed the throttle cable in 3+ years. :P

The clutch adjustment can be done even at the lever end on the handle bar. So you will not reach an 'end'. Only clutch plates wear out, the cable just snaps or can last up to 30k km or more easily. Do get it adjusted correctly by a mechanic if you are unsure of it. It might be mentioned in the manual too on how to adjust/set free play.
